This is a real 1971 Z28 Camaro - This car is my current cruise in night car I use it atleast 3 times aweek. I will try to describe the car as best as possible- but please ask questions and I will try to answer them to my best. This is a factory 4spd Z28 Camaro W/ 12 bolt rear end and it has 411 gears. The car gets incredible amounts of attention when it comes out, there is always someone taking pictures of it or following me around to see it go. The motor runs great - it is a 355 roller motor , 10.25 to 1 compression with iron heads, the induction system is our own alternative to the facty GM crossram - sitting on top of the 2x4 intake is a set of custom calibrated 600 cfm double pumper carburetors - this car runs real good and when you stand on it hold your ears and hang on, the sound rawing out of the true Hooker side pipe headers will pierce your ears ( no mufflers in the 4" side tubes) these are real Hooker headers (1 piece right of the head - each tube meets upto each exhaust port - not the one they sell mail order where you have 1 tube live and 3 dummies) All the bushings underneath the car are polyurethane, there are brand new traction bars on the car, front and rear sway bars. The front wheels are 15x3 Cragar (real cragars) and the rear tires are Mickey Thompson wrinkle wall ET Steets (brand new) with tubes. Disk brakes in the front and drum rear brakes. This is a turn key car - I'm only selling this car because my daughter will be driving next month and I need to buy her a vehicle. I'm not looking to trade I'm looking for an old fashioned good ole straight up cash sale... No funny 3rd parties - NO Bokers - Please no tire kickers. Please be serious if inquiring about the car - I don't have time to waste.. The car is available to see if you are local by appointment call me first - 631 846-8899... This is not a rot box , it has not been doctored up for the purpose of selling it . I am and have been the current owner of the car. I'm a straight shooter so ask me a question and I'll tell you the truth. a $1000.00 deposit is required if you choose to buy the car - Please have your funding already if you are bidding on the car - I will not wait for you to get a loan or find out if you can get a loan. The car will stay in my possession until it is paid in full - NO GAMES... I don't play !
That being said I welcome all serious inquires about the car.

2023 Grand National Roadster Show Mega Photo Gallery | Hot rod heaven
Wed, Feb 8 2023POMONA, Calif. — From an outsider's perspective, it would be easy to assume that the Grand National Roadster Show has always been a Southern California institution. After all, it celebrates the diverse postwar car culture of the region — hot rods, lead sleds, lowriders, and more. However, the show had its roots in NorCal in 1950 when Al Slonaker and his hot rod club showed their custom cars at the Oakland Expo. The GNRS moved to Pomona, California, in 2004. By then it had grown exponentially and seen about a dozen more car customization trends come and go. However, the show and its centerpiece award, the America's Most Beautiful Roadster prize, celebrate what is perhaps the first of those trends: the American hot rod in its purest form. Today, in its 73rd year, the GNRS is the oldest indoor car show in America. Annually it welcomes 500-800 cars, gathered into special themes like Tri-Five Chevys or Volkswagen Bugs. At this year's show, which was last weekend, a special hall was dedicated to pickup trucks built between 1948-98, including mini-trucks, groovy camper bed conversions, and resto-mods. However, of all the vehicles presented, only nine are eligible for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award. Winners get their names engraved on a 9-foot-tall perpetual trophy that was, according to The Ultimate Hot Rod Dictionary, the largest in the world when it debuted in 1950. Slonaker chose the word "roadster" initially because "hot rod" bore slightly negative outlaw connotations in 1950. Only American cars built before 1937 of certain body styles — roadsters, roadster pickups, phaetons, touring cars — are eligible, and they cannot have roll-down side windows. Cars in the running for the cup cannot have been shown anywhere else before their debut at the GNRS. Contestants for this accolade essentially build their cars to the a platonic ideal of a hot rod. This year the honors went to Jack Chisenhall of San Antonio, Texas, for his "Champ Deuce," a 1932 Ford Roadster. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a hot rod, but distilled to its absolute essence. Other standouts included "Green Eyes," a two-tone green 1959 Chevy El Camino with a heavily metal-flaked bed, "Blue Monday," a 1964 Buick Riviera lowrider, and a personal favorite, "Purple Reign," a purple and black 1951 Mercury. Cars may have started out as tools, but there aren't shows like this filled with custom refrigerators.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
