1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Pro Touring Coupe

This Beautiful Pro Touring Camaro RS/SS was Professionally Built and has very few miles since the build a couple of years ago. The goal was to create a car with modern performance and classic retro styling that could be driven and enjoyed. This modern drivetrain starts with a Built LT1 Corvette motor fully dressed out in chrome and sitting in a beautifully smoothed and gleaming engine compartment. The LT1 motor comes loaded with all of the Top of the Line performance parts including a head and nitrous cam package, Holley Hi Performance EFI fuel pump, street and performance chrome pulley set. Starts right up and NO gas smell in your garage. 52mm throttle body, MSD coil and wires, Hi Performance Aluminum Radiator and Hi Torque Mini Starter. The Transmission is an Electronic 4L60E Automatic with a Conan Performance Torque Converter and the power is put to the pavement thru a 12 bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears. The car handles great with front lowered coil overs, performance sway bars front and rear, lowering blocks and rear leaf springs, power steering and brakes. The car also has a stainless steel gas tank, chrome 1 wire alternator, chrome hoses, Deep Lip Chrome 18" fronts with 235/40ZR18's and 20" rears with 245/40ZR20's - Staggered Wheel stance looks Awesome, Cross Drilled Rotors with 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes all the way around, headers, complete 40 Series Flowmaster Exhaust system, Painless wiring harness and trunk mounted battery with Hella master switch. New Cowl Hood, new grille with manually operated hideaway headlights, custom mirrors and Marquez design lights front and rear. The Camaro's beautiful interior features a Houndstooth Seat pattern, Tilt steering, Covan Classic Dash with Autometer Gauges in the dash and console. Best of all... Vintage Air Conditioning for your summer driving pleasure.

A couple of small things that will need to be done: Turn signals and horn do not work and currently has a Grant style steering wheel that may be the issue, not sure. A/C needs to have some freon added. Vintage Air Unit is new. All speeds and controls function perfectly for blower and ventilation. Electronic speedo may need the sending unit replaced as it does not register the MPH. Both front doors need a slight bit of alignment as you have to lift up on the door slightly to close them. The Car has speakers but not a stereo system..the sound of the engine was music enough for me!

The Camaro drives and brakes excellent. A beautiful show/driver Camaro that has had a lot of money invested. You couldn't build one like this for this price.

I'm sure that I've missed something. Please enjoy the pictures

Beautiful, Awesome, Strength, Power, Engine, Color, and all this wrapped up in a 1969 Camaro that will simply stop people in their tracks. You'll be very happy when she's sitting in your garage

GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak

Wed, Sep 24 2014

General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana

GM starting to talk seriously about 200-mile EV

Sun, Oct 12 2014

We've been hearing word of a 200-mile EV from Chevrolet for a while now. First, there was General Motors then-CEO Dan Akerson hinting at a $30,000, 200-mile EV that would take the competition by surprise. Then Akerson confirmed that GM is working on a 200-mile EV in a speech in March. LG Chem, which supplies batteries to GM and other automakers, recently said it was working on batteries for EVs with a range of 200 miles. GM's head of global product development Mark Reuss just re-confirmed that there are plans for an EV with a 200-mile range, and sources have told Automotive News what that car will be. While Reuss didn't mention anything about a specific model or platform, two undisclosed sources with knowledge of GM's plans have said that an EV with a range of about 200 miles is indeed in the works, and that it will be based on the Chevrolet Sonic. The sources also gave a timeline for the car, saying it is slated for sometime in 2017. According to Reuss, the plan is for Chevy to offer a lineup of electric cars, with the 200-mile EV joining ranks of the Chevrolet Volt and the Spark EV. He didn't hint at a timeline, but if the sources are correct, we could see a Sonic EV being built within a few years. Reuss sees demand for it, too. When speaking of the Spark EV, currently only available in California and Oregon, he says that "people wish we would sell it all around the country." If he's right about that, it's not difficult to imagine people taking interest in Chevrolet's 200-mile electric car, whether or not it's a Sonic.

Ram 1500 bests new F-150 in MT pickup shootout

Tue, Nov 25 2014

Ford's 2015 Ford F-150 is a technological tour-de-force, what with its aluminum-intensive construction and its powerful and efficient new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine option. But now that it's hit the market, it's time to get down to brass tacks and find out how just the latest F-150 actually stands up to its rivals in the hyper-competitive fullsize segment. Motor Trend is among the first to round up the Ford (in Lariat 2.7-liter 4X4 guise here) and put it up against the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel 4x4 and 5.3-liter-equipped Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 to find out how Dearborn's new-think truck measures up. The test put the trio through over 1,000 miles of tough driving in California and Arizona in a variety of conditions from just cruising around unladen to hauling a trailer. MT found all three trucks to be competent, but the most praise got heaped on the Ram and the Ford, with the Chevrolet falling a step behind its competitors in many tests. Among the Ford's most-liked features was its 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 that helped make the F-150 easily the quickest of the group, with some editors saying the engine felt about the same whether driving around with cargo in the bed or not. There was some minor turbo lag during acceleration while trailering, but that issue affected the Ram, too. The Ram's powertrain was lauded, as well. The EcoDiesel was torquey around town, and the 1500's combination of an eight-speed automatic and air suspension was judged to be the best of the lot. It was the most difficult to get into the bed, though. The Ram also won the fuel economy award by netting 20-miles-per-gallon city and 28-mpg highway in the test to beat its Environmental Protection Agency ratings of 19/27. The Ford's EcoBoost managed 17/22, one mpg off each from the EPA numbers, and using a lot of throttle really depleted its efficiency. As MT notes, however, it would take time for the diesel's mileage savings to pay off at the pump for these two trucks. In the end, the Ram just barely eked out the win, with the title partially earned because of "the Ford's unknown maintenance and aluminum repair costs," according to MT. Go check out the full comparison to read all of the details, then let us know what you think in Comments.
