Couple more notes. All chrome / polished items have been either anodized or given a brushed appearance. We also used a satin red for the rear tail panel for something a little different Our attempt was to create something very unique with the body modifications (front/rear spoilers - Front hood - Side gills - Rear Tail panel, but not over the top to look completely out of place or taking away from the classic camaro lines.

More items... Ring brothers shifter/bowler ball Ride Tech rear 4 link Front / Rear muscle bars Full tru Turn set up I didnt put a lot of verbiage in here about how awesome the car is or that I have 100's of dollars into it. The parts and build speak for itself. With that being said it is a very honest solid car built from the group up and is set up to win awards then go to the autocross events and compete with confidence. It has all of the right parts and body mods to do both. It is very very fun to drive..... What we set out to do is make a lot of subtle changes to the car while keeping it all 69 camaro....The idea was to have people walk around it and point to the changes and have cool conversations about it. At the Kalamazoo show that is what exactly happened some people commented "nice pro touring car" but then when they realized and reconized the body modifications they hung out for a while and had some cool converstations around all of the metal work done and it was a lot of fun! Some people thought we stretched the fenders and qtrs and some thought the spoilers were special options.....Some comments were funny as we all have experienced (Nice mustang).... It is all pro-touring but it is the body modifications that really set the car apart from the other PT cars. Good luck and thanks for looking

Opel CEO talks new EV, will likely be fresh face for Chevy, too

Wed, Jul 23 2014

The rumored demise of the Opel Ampera has been confirmed, but there's good news, too. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has been busy Tweeting information about the brand's next plug-in vehicle, admitting that the Ampera is on the way out but that plug-in vehicles are here to stay. His Tweets, in full, read: After the eventual run-out of the current generation Ampera, we'll introduce a successor product in the electric vehicle segment. Our next electric vehicle will be part of our massive product offensive – with 27 new vehicles in the 2014-2018 time frame. We see eMobility as important part of the mobility of tomorrow and we will continue to drive down costs & deliver affordability. As we learned earlier this week, the Ampera will not be refreshed when the current Chevy Volt is updated, most likely because of slow sales. Opel sold just 332 Amperas in the first five months of 2014. For now, General Motors is still building Amperas in Michigan for export to Europe. So, what might this new EV mean for the General Motors plug-in fleet? Official spokespeople are being quiet, but we think it's safe to say the new EV Neumann is talking about is not simply a rebadged Chevy Spark EV. This is the first official word about an entirely new EV, and we expect it will come to both the Chevrolet and Opel brands.

GM files to trademark name Badlands

Mon, Feb 23 2015

If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
