1969 Camaro that can be driven , taken to car shows, or to the drag strip and win.  The body is straight, the paint excellent, has one chip on the front driver fender. It has the factory front sub-frame and is square tube chassis from the firewall back. The front fenders/hood and deck lid are fiberglass. The windshield and rear window are glass and the side windows are lexan. I  have the original door window regulators that can easily be reinstalled if you want roll up windows. The front fenders are easily removed to perform work inside the engine bay. All the other aluminum panels, wheel tubs, and console are also removable as the car can be disassembled if so desired. It is very easy to work on. One of the best engineered cars I have seen.

The motor, transmission and converter have 42, 1/8 mile passes that were all foot brake, launching at 2700 rpm, shifting at 6400 rpm and going through the trap at 6200 rpm. The motor was built to handle 7500 Rpm or more and will last a long time if not abused. Will have no problem going 1/4 mile.  I only use Royal Purple XPR oil in the motor, ATI transmission fluid, and Royal Purple rear differential fluid.

The motor was built by and purchased from NYES Racing Engines and made 620 hp on the Dyno. I do have the build sheet.

New AFCO double pass radiator, dual fans with aluminum fan shroud, Car runs cool all day!

At the present time with 95 degree days the car is running 6.60s in the 1/8 mile on foot brake. I won a major points race on Aug 4, going 8 rounds competing against many of the top drivers in this region. It will work on any type track in any condition and handles like your wife's Lexus.

All the gauges work except the speedometer and oil temperature gauges.  Has fuel gauge, transmission temp gauge, alternator gauge, fuel pressure gauge, oil pressure gauge and 2 water temp gauges, 1 analog and 1 digital, 2 tachometers, 1 in the dash and 1 on the roll cage for better viewing when staging.  The headlights, tail lights, signal lights and brake lights all work. Put the mufflers and DOT tires on and you can drive it on the street. Yes, I have a title!!

Car weighs 2779lbs with a 190lb driver

It will handle any size motor you want to put in it.

Has no Rust.

The upper body paint isn't yellow, It is a light gold with pearl and the pics don't show how nice it looks

You can drive to cruse in, take to show or race at the track and be proud you own it. More pics are taken of this car at the track than all other cars there. If you drive it somewhere and there are other stock type 68,67 or 69 Camaros. They are all nice but when you drive up, well, they are all just another Camaro and people come to it like, Wow. Several people have stopped by my trailer at the track and ask why I'm drag racing such a nice car and say it should be at a show or cruse-in. Anyway you get the point this is a nice car, So don't miss out. I have it priced way below others not as nice. I'm sure I left out something. Feel free to call me at 919 920 0136 if you have questions. I have an enclosed trailer and can deliver.

More Pictures at the bottom of this page.

A conversation with GM's Mark Reuss on MPG, aluminum and Corvettes

Wed, Feb 19 2014

There was plenty to talk about when General Motors hosted its annual mid-December holiday media reception a few months ago. GM had just decided to pull its global Chevrolet brand out of major European markets, where Chevys have competed directly with GM Europe Opel and Vauxhall vehicles, and the US government had sold its last remaining shares of GM stock. But most important was the company's just-reshuffled leadership. Post-bankruptcy CEO Dan Akerson had announced that he would step aside and that 52-year-old Mary Barra would replace him on January 15. Not only would she be the first woman to lead a major automaker, she would also be GM's first engineer CEO since Bob Stempel in the early 1990s. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors" - Mark Reuss Replacing her as executive VP for global product development (and purchasing and supply chain) would be 49-year-old Mark Reuss, who had served a stellar four years as North American president, and elevated to corporate president (from executive VP and CFO) would be 42-year-old Dan Amman. All three are relatively young auto enthusiasts who are liked and respected inside and outside the company, and their collective talents and experience are highly complementary. I've interviewed Barra and found her smart, personable and knowledgeable, though she carefully walks the corporate line in speaking and answering questions. I met and chatted with Ammann for the first time at that holiday reception, and he made a good first impression. But I've known Reuss for some time as a genuinely good guy and a highly capable and inspiring leader, and I believe he is exactly the right person for the global product responsibility once famously held by the outspoken, oft-controversial Bob Lutz. So I jumped at an opportunity to join a group interview of Reuss (with mostly business reporters) at the Detroit Auto Show in January. It was an interesting session of mostly good questions, which he answered with refreshing candor and humor. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors," Reuss said. "We've taken down almost every plant in North America, converted and turned it this last year, and to do that with award-winning vehicles and pretty flawless launches is key. We have to keep the train rolling on great product, because the rest won't happen without the best product, period." A reporter asked whether GM was pushing big trucks, SUVs and Corvettes again because gas is cheap. "No," Reuss said.

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
