Pure muscle car. Drive great, gets compliments on it everyday. I take very good care of it. Starting med school with a kiddo, and need someone to get it off my hands. Feel free to ask questions. Will film video upon request.

I'll go ahead and list the stuff that needs attention. The AC/Heater is installed, but not operable. The weather strip is worn, as it is the original weather strips. Can be seen in the pictures. Has a few minor paint chips and very small dents (around 5 of them smaller than the size of my fingertip), not noticeable unless you look very carefully. Has one small scratch on the passenger door. I took pictures of them as shown in the picture gallery, but they don't really show up in the pictures it because it is not obvious. It is not obvious in person either, but I am listing all the defects that I know of, even these minor ones.

Now lets talk about why I love this car:

Just got brand new tires and battery! MSD ignition. Hurst shifter 4 speed. Seats are in great shape.  Very minimum rust. This car in general is in really good condition. This car has been in Lubbock Texas, which is very good for classic cars. It is dry and sunny here, thus the car is in great condition. Feels great when driving. All my friends are in love with this car, especially when you take it for a run. The sound of the engine will make you fall in love also. This car is manual, and man will you feel the muscle of this car when you shift gear while speeding up.

Need a next good owner to take good care of it like I have. Don't want to let it go, but going back to school and won't have time for it anymore. I always get asked to sell it every time I take it out for a spin. Just let me know if you want any specific pictures. Again, will record or take pictures of any parts of the car upon request.

I will work with you on the price. VERY reasonable reserve price. Message me and your best offer and I will work with you. Just trying to get it off my hands so we will have some cash when I start school for me and my kiddo.

A few people have messaged me about how much I will sell it for and take it off auction. So here is my response.  I can have this car sitting on ebay and get it sold for a good price, but my school is starting in a month, and so I will work with you. I have put in a fair share of money into this car to maintain it, I wax it regularly and like I said, brand new tires and batteries just last month. After spending around 1000 dollars for the tires and battery and etc, my wife and I sat down and talked about it. We decided that we will not have the time or the money to maintain it for the next few years. Thus, we made the decision to sell it. Not looking to make a profit like the other retail Camaros on eBay, just looking to break even. I bought this car from a friend of mine to get it off his hands because he was buying a house. He bought it from our local classic car company for 31,900. Now, go to nadaguides.com and put in this car, it says that for a poor but drivable 68 Camaro with V8 350 engine, average retail price is 22,885. I have to take at least 25,000 and that still puts me at a lost by 7,000 dollars. Make an offer.

GM slashes prices in China as sales falter

Thu, May 14 2015

Buying a vehicle from General Motors' stable of brands might be a lot cheaper in the near future – at least for customers in China. The effort comes as GM hopes to keep sales there growing, and the decision alludes to yet another sign that the Asian country no longer has the booming auto market of past years. GM and its Chinese joint venture partner SAIC are slashing prices by as much as the equivalent to $8,700 on 40 models from Buick, Chevrolet, and Cadillac, according to The Detroit News. Across all of automaker's nameplates, the overall sales dipped in China in April by 0.4 percent to 258,484 vehicles. Among the drops, Buick was down 8.5 percent, and Chevy shrunk 5.6 percent. Caddy's numbers increased 4.6 percent for the month, though. Buick remains a popular brand in the minds of Chinese consumers, but according to The Detroit News domestic automakers there are starting to eat into the dominance of foreign companies in the market. The country remains important for GM, though. Late last year, it outlined a future strategy that included China as a major pillar, including a $14 billion investment to build five new factories and boost sales. 2015 Green Car Of The Year finalists announced, run alt-fuel gamut

Tue, Oct 21 2014

The 2015 edition of the Green Car of the Year award is following right in the footsteps of previous years with a variety of alt-fuel powertrains making the just-announced finalists list. You've got your plug-in vehicle (the BMW i3), your compressed natural gas (the Chevy Impala Bi-Fuel), your high-efficiency diesel (the Audi A3 TDI), your 40+ mile-per-gallon gas engine (the Honda Fit) and, finally, a car that can do a little bit of everything (the VW Golf). The Golf is available – at least in some parts of the US – with three different powertrains: a 2.0-liter diesel, a gasoline engine and all-electric drive. The Impala can burn either natural gas or gasoline in its 3.6-liter engine. The A3 is an efficiency champ, able to get 73.5 mpg on some European tests. The i3 can be a pure electric vehicle or come with a short range extending engine. And the Fit brings 41 miles to the gallon in a practical, affordable package. The GCOY award is announced every year at the Los Angeles Auto Show by Green Car Journal. The committee doesn't just take the fuel-saving technology into account, but also a vehicle's "availability to the mass market." Last year, the Honda Accord Hybrid/Plug-In Hybrid won top honors, following up on wins from the Ford Fusion models (plug-in hybrid and hybrid) for 2013, the Honda Civic Natural Gas for 2012 and the Chevrolet Volt for 2011. FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2015 "GREEN CAR OF THE YEAR"" Green Car Journal to Reveal Winner of 10th Annual Award at LA Auto Show" Press & Trade Days, November 20 LOS ANGELES, CA (October 21, 2014) – Green Car Journal has announced its five finalists for the magazine's high-profile 2015 Green Car of the Year® program. The 2015 models include the Audi A3 TDI, BMW i3, Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel, Honda Fit, and VW Golf. The Green Car of the Year® award, an honor widely recognized as the auto industry's most important environmental accolade, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. An increasing number of vehicle models are considered for the Green Car of the Year® program each year, a reflection of the auto industry's expanding efforts in offering new vehicles with higher efficiency and improved environmental impact. Green Car Journal has been honoring the most important "green" vehicles every year at the LA Auto Show, since its inaugural award announced at the show in 2005.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.
