1968 Camaro 350 V-8 Engine 4-speed Manual Transmission on 2040-cars
Ringgold, Georgia, United States
I will start off with the camaro is a driver quality car, not a show car, but could be made one very cheap and easy. This beautiful car is maroon, with a black nose stripe. Has black interior. It has a strong running 350 engine with an edelbrock high rise intake on it, with a holley carburetor. ( Not sure of the size ) First I will talk about the body, the paint is good still has a nice shine to it, the passenger front finder has a crease in it, as will be pictured. There is no paint missing where the crease is. The Rocker panels are pretty rusty and need to be replaced. That is the worst part of the car. Now a little good about it. It runs strong, and is fun to drive. People look and compliment your car every where you go. It has a 2" Cowl hood. The paint is shiny, all the chrome is in great shape. The camaro is sitting on SS cragar's, and the tires on them are decent.
Now I will tell you a little about the interior of the car, It's black, everything is in excellent shape, no cracks in the dash, seats, or door panels. The headliner is very nice also, all the glass in the car is good and rolls up and down as it should. The floor pans are solid, and the trunk pan is new. Now about the drive. The engine runs very stong, the gears shift slick, with a hurst shifter, the rear end is a 10 bolt, not sure of the gear but if I had to guess I would say around a 3:73. Can cruise 65-70 in car very easy. Has drum breaks all the way around, but stops good. Power steering makes it easy to turn while out riding around. The odometer is showing 38,466. The clean Georgia title I have with the car is showing 34000 with purchase date of 06/2007. If there is any question's that I have not answered please feel free to call me at 423-667-7235. I will be more then happy to try to help you with your questions. A deposit of $250 will be asked for after winning the bid or hitting buy it now. The rest of the money can be wired to my bank, or you can bring cash upon pick up. Thanks God Bless. |

General Motors CEO Provides Few Details In Appearance Before Congress
Wed, Apr 2 2014It was only two months ago that Mary Barra, freshly crowned as the new General Motors chief executive officer, visited Washington DC as an esteemed guest of First Lady Michelle Obama for the State of the Union address. On Tuesday, Barra returned to the Capitol under more strained circumstances. For more than two contentious hours, she took questions from members of a House of Representatives subcommittee investigating General Motors years-long delay in initiating a recall of millions of vehicles that contained a defect that has killed at least 13 people. Why did GM accept faulty ignition switches that were below the company's set specfications? Why did GM learn about the problem in 2001 yet take no action until 2014? Will GM compensate victims' families even though the company's bankruptcy may limit its liability? Those were a few of the questions members of the House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee asked. Few concrete answers were forthcoming. For her part, Barra sidestepped most of the questions, saying she wouldn't have information needed to answer them until an internal review is completed. David Friedman, the administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, testified after Barra. The biggest news that emerged from the hearing was that General Motors has retained attorney Kenneth Feinberg to advise the company on its civil and legal responsibilities. He has made a career of resolving disputes and serving in a 'fixer' role, serving as the chief of the federal government's September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, as an administrator of compensation fund for victims of the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster and a similar fund for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Barra, who has been GM's CEO since January but been with the company since 1980, expects to meet with Feinberg on Friday, and have a concrete plan within the next 30-60 days. Yet Barra would not say for certain Tuesday that GM would compensate the victims at all. Despite repeated questions from Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), Barra did not outline the company's intentions. "I assume GM is hiring (Feinberg) to help identify the size of claims and then compensate the victims? Is that right," DeGette asked. "Is GM willing to put together some kind of a compensation fund for these victims that Mr. Feinberg will then administer?" "We've hired him to help assess the situation," Barra replied. "So really, there's no money involved at this point," DeGette asked.
GM diesel pickups first to undergo extra EPA, CARB testing
Tue, Sep 29 2015The effects of Volkswagen's long-running diesel emissions evasion are starting to spill over to other automakers, but General Motors is taking things in stride. The 2.8-liter, four-cylinder Duramax in the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon is the first engine to get extra scrutiny by the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board, Automotive News reports. Rather than just the usual in-lab test, it's also being checked on the road. However, the extra evaluation shouldn't have any impact on when the trucks with his mill hit dealers later this fall. "We're in our final stages of the EPA certification, and our launch is on track," Chevy spokesperson Otie McKinley tells Autoblog. The four-cylinder diesel in the trucks makes 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the automaker is touting low NOx production. In the announcement for the Colorado's specs, the company calls it "the cleanest diesel truck engine ever produced by General Motors." The tech includes exhaust gas recirculation to lower combustion temperatures and improve emissions. There's also a urea tank like on the bigger diesels for full-size trucks, and it gets refilled in time with oil changes. An indication on the instrument panel lets drivers know when that's needed, too. Even with the more demanding testing, the company doesn't seem too worried about the four-cylinder passing. "Part of our development process is on-road and off-road [laboratory] testing," Scott Yackley, Chevy Trucks assistant chief engineer, said to Automotive News. In the wake of the VW scandal, the EPA has pledged more rigorous testing. Before, on-road emissions evaluations were largely limited to heavy-duty vehicles, but the agency has decided to apply the checks more often to other models. There's also now greater cooperation with Canadian authorities.
