I have a mostly original 1967 Butternut Yellow SS/RS Camaro 100% Numbers matching with the rare 707 coded deluxe Yellow interior as well as the rare deluxe Gold steering wheel. I am the 4th owner. It has 39XXX Original miles, she has been taken care of. Some small scratches and normal wear and tear but for an original mostly unmolested 46 year old car she's flawless for a driven vehicle. Has the original suspension and brakes, although has newer shocks. I had to have the transmission re-built as a bearing went out. all new gaskets and fluids front to rear, did not do the heads though as they do not leak. I had it appraised prior to me purchasing it, has some small bondo in the cracks on the front like they were trying to fill the gaps, small magnet sticks to the entire car, windows roll good, trunk is good. Has a hole thru the passenger fender well from the old battery acid eating thru but I have a new old one from another 67 SS/RS so it has original parts. I have other misc parts to go with her for small repairs that you might want original. Runs like a champ. This is a rare car with decent options that could use just normal work on a weekend which is what I have been doing. I am selling for one reason, This car is as close to original as you could probably get, a lightly used time capsule that I don't want to ruin, I want another 67 SS/RS that I can make mine, I believe this one should be kept as is. I have more pics from my appraisal, I recommend having it looked at, I don't believe that you will be disappointed in this car. Reserve is not low as this is such authentic rare piece of history and will be worth so much more years from now. Also I bought this from New Mexico as it was first purchased and I moved it to California, so almost no rust!

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Europeans ask Chevy to bring Volt back to Europe
Fri, Aug 14 2015A group of French fans is asking for a jolt of support from General Motors to get the 2016 Chevrolet Volt across the pond. The Association Amperistes et Amis des Vehicules Rechargeables is running a Change.org petition that currently has 383 signatures out of a goal of 500. While the attempt is admirable, it's probably going to take a lot more than several hundred people for the model to make a return to the continent after the poor showing of the Opel Ampera – first-gen Volt's European cousin. The group's major argument for bringing a version of the second-gen Volt to Europe is that consumers need "an intermediate choice between expensive or range-limited pure electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a miserable electric range." Furthermore, such a vehicle would prod the competition to produce similarly efficient electrified models. They also lavish praise on the abilities of the Ampera for its long EV driving range. The supporters aren't entirely kind to GM in the petition, though, and claim the company excluded the original car from marketing efforts there. The Ampera actually enjoyed a strong European launch with more orders than initially expected and briefly topped the best-sellers list among EVs there. It was even named 2012 European Car of the Year. Those halcyon days didn't last long, and by 2014 sales fell off to a trickle. The waning reception caused GM's decision not to introduce a version of the new 2016 Volt there or in Australia. Related Video:
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
