#1746 of 5174 & 1 of 704 Chrome Yellow 98 Cobras w/Black Leather. This car was originally a California car and was there from 1998 to 2012. It is in excellent condition both visually and mechanically with no leaks, rust, or problems. Everything works as it should and it has a clean Autocheck. Here is a list of extras on the car. Offroad X pipe, Flowmaster 40's, Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs with KYB adjustable shocks and struts, MSD ignition, 355 ring and pinion, 03' Terminator wheels (17x9 f & 17x10.5 r and are flawless, Hurst shifter, Pioneer stereo, tinted headlights, tinted wdws., gage pillar oil pressure and voltage gages (never hooked up), shorty antenna. I just put new tires on the front and the rears are aprox. 60% tread. Fire extinguisher mounted in rear floor area. I changed all the fluids in the car recently using full synthetic including the rearend, tranny, engine oil. Also has new coolant and brake fluid along with all others topped off with no leaks. I just replaced the reverse light switch along with a new idler pulley and tensioner assembly. Also just put new rear brakes on and fronts are aprox. 50%. I also just put a BBK clutch cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster on as it still had the original cable and quadrant, The interior is in great condition with the drivers seat showing normal wear but no rips etc. Previous owner had just put a new Motorcraft battery in it 6 months ago. I also put a JLT catch can in line between pcv valve and intake to catch any oil vapors which is helpful on these engines. It also has Griggs billet caster /camber plates on it along with a C&L cold air kit. I believe that is a fairly complete list. As far as any flaws...it has a very small ding in the bottom of passenger door along with a few very minor chips that are difficult to see. The windshield is pitted (no breaks or cracks) from I assume normal wear and I would most likely put a new one in it in the future if I wasn't selling as I am kind of a perfectionist but not a huge deal. This car is an eye catcher and is very mechanically sound and visually excellent. The stance of it draws alot of compliments.  Buyer will be responsible for setting up and paying for shipping unless otherwise agreed upon. I may be able to ship it as I have shipped several in the past but shipping costs would need to be negotiated between myself and the buyer. I am selling this car as is but I am 52 yrs. old and very picky and will not sell junk. I have fairly meticulolusly gone over the car and it will make someone a great ride. It recently won 1st place at a show in The Rocky Mts. with previous owner which should give an idea of it's condition and appeal. Contact info. 417-224-2926  ***THIS CAR BID UP TO WITHIN A FEW DOLLARS OF IT'S ALREADY REDUCED RESERVE PRICE IN AUCTION THAT JUST ENDED. (LITERALLY A FEW DOLLARS)!  I AM NOW OFFERING FOR A "BUY IT NOW PRICE" FOR LESS THAN PREVIOUS RESERVE. THIS CAR IS GOING TO MAKE SOMEONE AN AWESOME BUY CONSIDERING I WASN'T GOING TO GO THIS LOW. EcoCar3 will convert Camaro to bitchin' eco rides

Sat, Apr 26 2014

In the 47-year-history of the Chevrolet Camaro, there have been countless college-age kids spending a ton of time getting under the hood and souping 'em up. Now, General Motors is adding a twist to the concept by donating 16 Camaros for the EcoCar challenge that puts university teams together to wring out better fuel-efficiency out of various vehicles. No word on whether there will be donuts on anyone's lawn, as suggested by 80's punks the Dead Milkmen, but the idea's never a bad one. EcoCar3 will feature 16 teams such as Arizona State, Penn State, Ontario's University of Waterloo and, of course, Detroit's Wayne State University. They'll spend the next four years "[reducing] environmental impact, while maintaining the muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car," as the EcoCar organizers say. The goal is to maintain body design and safety standards while boosting efficiency and lowering emissions, but the actual process is far more complicated than that description suggests. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Bosch are among the sponsors of the contest, which is also put on by the US Department of Energy and managed by Argonne National Laboratory. Penn State won Year Two of the three-year EcoCar 2 competition with its E85 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle converted out of a Chevy Malibu. The grand-prize winner of EcoCar2 will be announced in June. Check out the EcoCar3 website and see the announcement video below for more details. This content is hosted by a third party. Sunday Drive: Taking a gaze into the automotive crystal ball

Sun, Oct 22 2017

Mankind has long been fascinated by the future. So it makes sense that this past week's top stories were all about cars, trucks, and SUVs that won't be hitting the market until the 2019 model year. And right at the top of the list is the Ram 1500. We've come to know Ram as the truck maker that styles its pickups with cues cribbed from big rigs, but that look has slowly evolved over time into something uniquely its own. The next Ram 1500 continues this trend, with a newly refined look that we can't wait to see in person. Up next is the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Pickup trucks have been, continue to be, and will remain the best-selling vehicles in America. And General Motors is a leader in the field, with two distinct offerings with which to entice buyers, one from the bread-and-butter Chevrolet brand and one wearing the slightly more upscale GMC badge. The Chevy looks to get LED lighting elements for 2019, which ought to keep the truck from looking dated when compared to the Ford F-150 and the previously mentioned Ram 1500. From there we move past pickup trucks and into SUVs and sedans. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee looks to get toned down a bit with its next refresh, and the '19 BMW 3 Series continues its slow evolutionary journey at the top of its aspirational sales pedestal. Finally, spy shots give way to official production reveals for the 2019 Audi A7 and Polestar 1. This pair of European luxury cars won't compete with one another – one is a rakish hatchback and the other a sports coupe – any further than for the eyeballs of our readers, but both proved popular enough to merit inclusion in our weekly roundup. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2019 Ram 1500 spotted without the classic crosshairs 2019 Chevy Silverado spied with new LED accents 2019 Jeep Cherokee reveals a much more normal face 2019 BMW 3 Series spy shots reveal production lights, new interior details 2019 Audi A7 revealed: More torque, refined styling Polestar 1 First Look | The 600 horsepower hybrid Scandinavian Green Audi BMW Chevrolet Jeep RAM Volvo Truck Hatchback SUV Future Vehicles Hybrid Luxury Performance Sedan sunday drive polestar 1

GM recalls trucks and SUVs for brake pedal problem

Thu, Feb 11 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall over 473,000 North American examples of the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and police pursuit versions of the Chevy Tahoe. These include 426,573 vehicles in the US and 46,837 in Canada, according to Reuters. The Problem: The brake pivot nut can loosen over time, which can render the pedal inoperative. This would be a danger to drivers trying to stop the vehicles. In some cases, the "Service Engine Soon" light might come on. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt, and if necessary they will apply adhesive to it and reinstall the part with increased torque. If You Own One: "We expect to start customer notifications shortly," GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog. Related Video: Transport Canada Recall # 2016053 Recall Date 2016/02/04 Notification Type Safety Mfr System Brakes Manufacturer Recall Number 20760 Units Affected The number of vehicles or components affected by the recall. 46,837 Category Light Truck & Van, SUV Recall Details On certain Heavy Duty and Police Pursuit vehicles, the brake pedal pivot nut may become loose, causing the brake pedal to be loose or inoperative. If the brake pedal becomes loose or inoperative, it could interfere with the accelerator pedal, and/or the driver may be unable to safely stop the vehicle through application of the brake pedal, potentially affecting stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt installation to determine whether the vehicle has already received the production remedy. If not, the dealer will add adhesive to the nut, and reinstall the nut at an increased torque. Note: This condition may result in the "Service Engine Soon" light illuminating, and brake lights may stay on longer than expected.
