97 Chevrolet K3500 HD, 454 gas engine, 4L80E Transmission, 4:56 gears full floater axle, 5th wheel rails (no hitch), goose neck rail under bed but nothing else for it, brand new front end including ball joints upper and lower, inner and outer tie rods, drag link, pitman arm, all four shocks, front rotors and pads, rear shoes, 90% tread on rear tires, 60% on front tires, comes with 3 spare tires/rims, no knocks/smokes/leaks, new hydroboost hose for steering, trans filter and fluid changed 1500 miles ago, has been repainted at some point but I do not know when, it looks nice but does have some rust starting under bottoms of a couple doors, premium factory stereo system with cd player sounds great, new fluid and differential cover, fresh oil change in last 500 miles, dual batteries, new wires, platinum plugs, cap/rotor, glass all good, leather is cracking mainly in drivers seat and some on passenger side, has factory trans/steering cooler, runs excellent, factory tow package, Rino lined bed, sliding rear window. The underside of the bed has rust holes on the support rails. I bought the truck with intentions of moving south with a 5th wheel but it did not pan out. The front bumper is great, the rear bumper has some rust showing. There are your typical scratches hear and there but an overall beautiful truck. Non smoker, air conditioning works, heat works, all windows work, one rear door has a sticky lock at times. Truck is wired and includes a trailer brake controller. If you have ANY OTHER QUESTIONS please ask before bidding or making an offer, I'm an honest man and have no reason to hide things, it does nobody any good, just look at my feedback. There is a small lean on the truck and the bank is one block from my house so it will literally take 15 minutes to have the title signed off free and clear. The only major issues I can thing of with the truck is that the rear tires should probably be balanced and rotated soon, the have a slight vibration above 65-75mph. I only have two photos at the moment but will be taking more on Monday 8-4-2014. The truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early and trust me this will sell soon, its a nice truck and is extremely powerful, I just have no use for it anymore.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. GM ending stop-sale order on heavy-duty trucks
Tue, Apr 26 2022General Motors responded to an inquiry from Autoblog regarding a stop-sale order on its full-size heavy-duty pickup trucks. Here's GM's official statement. GM is committed to building the highest quality products possible. We paused delivery on a small number of HD pickups with the 6.6 liter Duramax engine last week to finalize an investigation into a potential quality issue. The investigation has been completed and the stop sale will be lifted for the small number of vehicles at dealerships.Customers can be assured GM’s heavy duty pickups are covered by a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. The original article continues below. General Motors has reportedly sent its Chevrolet and GMC dealers a stop-sale order that applies to some examples of the 2022 Silverado HD, the 2022 Silverado MD, and the 2022 Sierra HD. The units affected by the stop-sale order may develop an engine-related problem. Citing anonymous sources, website GM Authority wrote that the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 in the affected trucks can hydrolock, which means liquid could enter the cylinders and cause a substantial amount of damage. The report does not specify where the liquid would come from; hydrolocking can happen by driving through a deep puddle of water, for example, but a large amount of coolant can cause it as well. The publication adds that the stop-sale order was assigned internal reference number N222362910. It also notes that the trucks included in it can't be sold, delivered to buyers, traded with another dealer, sent to auction, or even used for demonstration purposes until further notice. Earlier in April 2022, GM Authority reported that General Motors planned to buy back an unspecified number of Silverado HD and Sierra HD trucks due to quality-related issues with the 6.6-liter V8. Details about the problems experienced by customers haven't been released; all we know is that each truck will be replaced, though the replacement may not have the same equipment due to the ongoing chip shortage. Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.
