Here's a nice 1998 Chevrolet K3500 that runs excellent for a low Reserve! Hard to find 1 Ton, crew cab 4x4 truck. The 7.4 Vortec runs quiet and smooth and makes lots of power. The new owner is going to love this truck. These are getting harder and harder to come by every year. The body does have a few minor dents and dings, (refer to the photos). But.... the truck is very decent. You have got to see the condition of the inside of the bed! We have sold MANY vehicles here on Ebay, and have maintained an impressive positive feedback rating. That doesn't happen by accident, by misrepresenting vehicles, or offering junk. I will give you an accurate description of this vehicle to the best of my ability, and you will drive away with an incredibly nice truck. The paint is original as far as I can tell, but obviously it has peeled in several places. There are several scratches, dings and dents throughout, but nothing horrible. The pictures show the truck with some dirt and dust on it, but it cleans up real nice. There are foul no odors of any kind inside. The front and rear seats are in excellent condition. It does not smell like cigarettes inside. The carpet is clean and has been protected by floor mats and is very presentable. The entire vehicle shows pride of ownership inside and out. It's very obvious it has been cared for. The 7.4 Vortec engine starts up immediately on the 1st crank. No squeels, leaky injectors, smoke, knocks, drips, ect...! There is NO check engine light on. In fact, there are no warning lights on of any kind. Everything functions as it should. The brakes stop great. The underside is as rust free as it gets. This is a nice example of the classic body style truck that is going to make the owner want to keep it forever. Interior wise, all of the windows go up and down. locks work, Radio works. Horn works, lights all work, heater works, Air conditioning blows COLD, 4x4 High and low range works, shifter is on the floor and the front end engauges immediately. The transmission shifts crisply and firmly as it should through all the gears. Everything I've tried out works. I can't find anything that doesn't operate correctly. As nice as this K3500 is, it obviously isn't brand new, and it isn't showroom perfect. It's nice, though. Especially for the mileage and year. The tires are in Fair to O.k. condition. The wheels are factory steel. The exhaust system is leak/ rust free. All emissions equipment is in place and un-tampered with. The glass and windshield are all perfect. We just had a new windshield installed. Overall, it's actually an impressive truck if you can get past the factory GM flaking Paint. Since I am only human, there's a chance I've missed some small or even large stuff. Titles: We are a licenced bonded, and insured Colorado motor vehicle dealer. All vehicles that we purchase and offer for resale have a clear Title. (meaning no lienholders). We do NOT knowingly deal in any vehicles with salvage title histories, period. The State of Colorado, along with many other states, automatically exempt the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles. Therefore, on these vehicles, the titles will simply be "exempted miles" and have a "0" indicated for odometer reading. That does not mean the mileage is unknown, or that it has been tampered with, it simply means they (The State), are no longer keeping track of the mileage. We also occasionally need to title these vehicles in our business' name if they are from out of state and do not have room for any further reassignments. Chevrolet To Oversee Restoring Sinkhole Corvettes
Fri, Feb 14 2014What Mother Earth devoured, Chevrolet plans to resurrect. The carmaker said Thursday it will oversee restoration of the classic cars swallowed by a huge sinkhole beneath the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. General Motors Design in Warren, Mich., will manage the painstaking work to repair the eight prize vehicles, the automaker said Thursday. The cars were consumed when the earth opened up early Wednesday beneath a display area when the museum in Bowling Green, Ky., was closed. No injuries were reported. The museum was open Thursday except for the area where the sinkhole occurred. Mark Reuss, GM's head of global product development, said the damaged vehicles rank as "some of the most significant in automotive history." "There can only be one 1-millionth Corvette ever built," he said, referring to one of the damaged cars. "We want to ensure as many of the damaged cars are restored as possible so fans from around the world can enjoy them." Just how the cars will be pulled out of the ground remains to be seen, said museum executive director Wendell Strode. The local fire department estimated the hole is about 40 feet across and 25 to 30 feet deep. The hole opened beneath part of the museum's domed section. "We feel pretty confident that most of the cars can be extracted," Strode said Thursday. "And we hope and believe that with just a little bit of luck, that all eight cars can be extracted and be part of the restoration." Chevrolet spokesman Monte Doran said some of the cars look to be in good shape, while others are buried in rubble. "It will likely be several weeks until we can get the cars out and assessed," he said. The GM Design team has helped restore other historic cars, but the Corvette project looks to be its biggest, he said. "These Corvettes are part of our history, and they want them restored properly," Strode said. "We're thrilled they're doing this." The cars looked like toys as they plunged into the hole, piled in a heap amid dirt and concrete fragments. The museum owns six of the cars while two - a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 Blue Devil - are on loan from General Motors. The other cars damaged were a 1962 black Corvette, a 1984 PPG Pace Car, a 1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette, a 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette, a 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette and a 2009 white 1.5 Millionth Corvette. Pictures of the sinkhole showed a collapsed section of floor with multiple cars visible inside the hole.

Thu, Aug 7 2014It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
GM recalls 200k Hummer H3s for fire risk
Thu, Jul 9 2015An issue with fires erupting in some Hummers has prompted General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for nearly 200,000 vehicles around the world. The bulk of them are in the United States. According to the first statement (below) obtained by Autoblog from GM, the issue stems from the HVAC system in Hummer H3 models. The connector module for the blower motor has, in certain cases, overheated, melted the surrounding plastic, and started a fire. 42 such cases have been reported, including three instances of occupants citing minor burns. GM confirms that two of those three cases lead to the vehicle being destroyed in the fire, but states that no crashes or fatalities have resulted. The issue affects 196,379 examples of the 2006-10 H3 wagon and the 2009-10 H3T pickup, with 164,993 estimated to be in the United States. In order to fix the issue, dealers are being instructed to replace the relevant parts of the connector and harness. In a second, unrelated campaign, GM is also calling in 50,731 Chevy Spark and Sonic small cars – 45,785 of them in the US – due to a software glitch. In those affected vehicles fitted with the base radio and OnStar system, the audio system may not be able to switch out of turn-by-turn direction mode, causing the display to go blank and all sound to mute – including key safety warnings. In addition, the system may not switch off, draining the battery. GM states that no crashes, injuries, or fatalities have resulted from this issue, and all that dealers will need to do in this case is reflash the software. Related Video: General Motors is recalling 164,993 2006-2010 model year HUMMER H3 and 2009-2010 model year HUMMER H3T models in the U.S. In certain vehicles, the connector module that controls the blower motor speed in the heat/vent/air conditioning (HVAC) system may overheat under extended periods of operation at high- and medium-high speeds. The heat could melt the plastic surrounding the connector module, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the affected portion of the connector and harness. GM is aware of three reported minor burns and 42 fires but no crashes or fatalities related to this condition.
