This auction is for one 2011 Chevy 3500 Duramax 2 Wd. I have several of these trucks. I have two 2011 and one 2009 at this time. The mileage is 229,400 on this truck. I purchase them from a ambulance service that has a fleet of over 700 of these . They take 4 trucks out of service every month based on their mileage being the highest in the fleet and closest to 250,000. At that point I drive each truck and check them over thoroughly, I only buy the trucks with no problems. In 2013 I only turned down 1 truck out of 45. These trucks are the best maintained vehicles on the road bar none. The repair and preventative maintenance files on these trucks are no less than 2” thick. They have to operate properly because people's lives are on the line, they can't have a failure. These trucks run like new and most have had all 8 injectors replaced for PM. The front tires on this truck are 90% and the rears are 60%. They have duel alternators, you will never have an alternator fail. They have duel fuel tanks, AC blows ice cold, cruise, power locks, 6 speed Alison auto trans, and the rear suspension is true air ride- no springs. These trucks are 7 foot cab to axle and 12 foot from cab to the end of frame. They will not take a regular dually bed. This is also the wide track rear end, it is more stable. Ride height can easily be adjusted based on load. These trucks had a vinyl wrap on the lower half of the truck that protected the paint. It has been removed. It may have a few nicks or a tiny door ding but the trucks are almost like new inside and out. I have a friend that has 4 of these trucks that he pulls 40 ft gooseneck trailers in the oilfield. He loads them up to 17 k daily and every truck has 500k miles plus with minor repairs. I also had one that I had working in the oilfield with a 40 ft gooseneck that I sold due to lack of work. It was a great truck. That was how I stumbled into getting my dealers licenses and buying all of there trucks as they come out of service. It was a great opportunity for me to offer late model trucks at smoking prices. If you are interested in one or more of these trucks now or in the future please call and let me put your name and number on a list because I very rarely advertise them. They are almost always sold before I get the trucks. Call with any questions, Rob 337-780-2181. I have 100 % feedback since 2002 and I want to keep it that way. Buy with confidence. I can give phone numbers for referrals upon request. I have sold lots of these trucks around the USA and most of the people will take calls to tell about their experience with me and their trucks. Just ask! |

Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson
Tue, Sep 25 2018Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher. More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
