2000 Chevrolet C3500 LS Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 7.4L Dually 2WD 54K Miles!
I am the third owner of this meticulously cared for Crew Cab Dually. It has 54,000 actual miles and has never been used as a work truck...and it shows. I used this for towing a 26' travel trailer and 18' boat and it performs beautifully. It tows and rides great and has a brake controller for electric brakes. It has been tastefully lowered a few inches to achieve a look and stance that better suits a 2WD model. A Bell-Tech lowering kit was used in the front and lowering shackles in the rear. The original red exterior looks like a show truck...very few minor scratches and the bed is in great shape and has a rubber protective mat. Matching lockable Gaylord bed cover. The Alcoa aluminum rims have been polished and clear coated. It has the Gas 7.4l Vortec big block engine. Heavy duty 4L80e Automatic transmission. Magnaflow exhaust that has a nice rumble but is not overly loud. The interior is in beautiful shape and the front seats were covered for much of their life. Gray cloth interior, AC, power windows, brakes, seats, cruise, tilt. Nearly new Michelin tires, Die hard battery, transmission fluid flush, and smogged. I don't think you will find a nicer example with so few miles. It has all the conveniences and comfort of the modern trucks but is easy to work on and service. You will not be disappointed. |

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
Buick Velite is a not-so-Volt-like plug-in hybrid concept for China
Mon, Nov 7 2016Is the Buick Velite a Volt by any other name? That's a question worth asking after General Motors said that the Buick Velite concept vehicle will make its global debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month. GM says the car "will provide a template for upcoming models being launched under the Buick Blue new energy vehicle strategy." Whether that means the Velite is a variant of the second-generation of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in is open to interpretation. Some automotive publications, including Autoweek, are saying that's the case, but GM China doesn't mention the Volt in its press release, only saying that the car is a "high-performance" plug-in hybrid vehicle. As we know, GM doesn't use the "PHEV" descriptor for the Volt, which makes us thing the Velite's powertrain is more like the Cadillac CT6 PHEV. Either way, the concept was developed by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), which is a joint venture between GM and Shanghai-based SAIC. As far as the name, GM has been shopping the Velite moniker around for a while now. The automaker first used Buick Velite for the convertible concept vehicle it showed off at the 2004 New York Auto Show. More recently, GM in 2014 filed to use the name for the US variant of its Opel Cascada four-seat convertible model, which debuted in 2013. As for the second-generation version of the Volt, that model appears to be gaining favor in the US. Domestic sales of the Volt through October have surged 64 percent from a year earlier to more than 18,500 units. The new version boosted its all-electric range by 40 percent to 53 miles while increasing its power output by 20 percent. Next-gen Chevy Volt gets Corvette looks, adjustable regen levels
Sat, Dec 20 2014The hood may say "full speed ahead." The regenerative braking system says "slow down a bit." One person's automotive improvements is another's identity crisis, all in a day's work analyzing the new Chevrolet Volt. The next-generation version of General Motors' first extended-range plug in will include design touches taken from to the new Chevrolet Corvette, GM's iconic sports car. Hexagonal taillights and a "taut" hood will be part of the new package, Automotive News says, citing General Motors design chief Ed Wilbur. But does that mean the Volt is shedding any of its green-car cred? Not at all, if one considers that the Volt will also let the driver adjust the degree of regenerative braking using steering-wheel paddles to dial up and recapture as much energy as possible and engage in "one-pedal" driving or turn it down for easier coasting. Check out the 55-second video below featuring GM executives Mark Reuss and Andrew Farah trying out the Volt's new regenerative-braking system that was first used on the Cadillac ELR. GM will have more details for us when it unveils the 2016 Chevy Volt at the North American Auto Show in Detroit next month.
