This is a once in a lifetime chance to own a project truck with all the worst part bought and paid for. This is a fully functional truck and is reliable despite it's age. The airconditioner has been overhauled and blows cold. The rear door window seals have completely been replaced and comes with the new front door seals. I just had it airbagged (3600lb bags) , boxed and cross braced in the rear as you can see in the pictures. The rear end is super heavy duty. The intention was to one day be able to tow with this truck. The bags are plumbed and ready to use. The interior is out of a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood. Full power with heated option in front. The rear is standard comfort. All black leather! The hood is cowl induction, Steel. Phantom billet grill and HID lighting up front. Luggage rack overhead and steel roll pan in rear. The Cadillac tail lights were flipped for a better fit and look great. The wheel fenders were made 3" wider given the back the rear wide look. It tucks 22's all around. 22.5" Semi truck rims turned down to accept 22's. I have stripped the interior but have all parts ready to go with the truck. Sound deadener has begun to be installed and I will send whats left with th e truck. Probably about 20 square feet or so. I also have all the original trim and dash. I have the dash in process of having fiberglass smooth finish applied. Any and ALL parts bought for this truck will go with. I also have and spare 400 transmission I can sell separately. It's newly rebuilt and I will let it go for $400.00 extra. The truck currently has a bumber pull hitch behind the plate, but was being built to except a fifth wheel hauler. The front seat have not been wired but both sides of the wire harness are in the truck. As well I have all the wire and fuse panel to finish the job. I also have a new Katzkin seat heater kit to give with th e truck. Maybe heat the rear seats or something. The interior panals are tan but I have all the primer and high end paint to finish converting the interior black if you choose. Feel free to ask questions and I'll try to get back to you quickly. Thanks for looking and hope to be doing business with some lucky buyer!
Serious inquires only please. Upon the close of the auction I will expect a $500.00 deposit within three days. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. Vehicle runs great but for legal purposes I will tell you it is not road safe as the seat belts have been removed. They will be sent with the truck but currently are not installed.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
Mysterious white powder discovered at GM Orion Assembly
Fri, Sep 2 2016Workers at General Motors Orion Assembly Plant in Orion Township, MI uncovered a mysterious white powder in two different parts of the factory earlier this week, raising concerns about worker safety. "We can confirm that an unknown substance (white powder) was found on the floor outside of Gate 6 at Orion Assembly on Monday, August 29. On Tuesday, August 30, we had a second report of a bottle containing a similar substance found inside the plant," GM spokesperson Dayna Hart told The Oakland Press via email. GM stressed that incident didn't disrupt operations at the plant, and that the company was taking steps to ensure the safety of the sprawling factory's workers. That did include, an anonymous worker told The Oakland Press, closing off parts of the factory for two full days, as drug-sniffing dogs and crews in haz-mat suits descended on the area. "A sample of the substance has been sent to a laboratory for identification and results are expected later this week," Hart said. "All findings and actions have been shared with our employees." Orion Assembly currently builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, and will eventually be responsible for production of the new, all-electric Chevy Bolt early next year. Related Video:
Junkyard Gem: 1985 Chevrolet Sprint
Thu, May 21 2020For in the 1985 model year, General Motors began selling Chevrolet-badged Suzuki Cultus hatchbacks in California. Sales of the cheap three-cylinder econobox in the rest of North America followed soon after (with the Canadian version known as the Pontiac Firefly), and did pretty well considering the crash in gasoline prices during the middle 1980s. Starting in 1988, the facelifted Sprint became the Geo (and, later on, Chevrolet) Metro. Here's one of the very first Cultuses sold on our shores, found in a San Francisco Bay Area car graveyard. Amazingly, the primitive rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet Chevette remained available all the way through 1987, competing with the thriftier front-wheel-drive Sprint in the same showrooms. For 1988, Pontiac started selling a rebadged Daewoo LeMans, so the Sprint/Metro never lacked for intra-corporate competition. Inside, you'll find the same stuff most mid-1980s Japanese econoboxes got: tough cloth upholstery and long-wearing hard plastics. Suzuki quality in 1985 wasn't quite up to Honda or Toyota levels, but you weren't paying Honda or Toyota prices for the Sprint. MSRP on this car started at $4,949, or about $12,000 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible 1985 Chevette cost $5,340, while a new no-frills Ford Escort would set you back $5,620. Subaru, however, could have put you in a punitively unappointed base-model Leone hatchback for just 40 bucks more than the Sprint that year. I think I'd have sprung the extra for a $5,348 Toyota Tercel, a $5,195 Mazda GLC, or— best cheap-commuter deal of all that year— the $5,399 Honda Civic 1300 hatchback. I was 19 years old and driving a Competition Orange 1968 Mercury Cyclone that year, and I recall feeling pity for Chevy Sprint drivers, new-car smell or not. Still, these weren't bad cars for the price, though a Sprint with an automatic transmission was a real character-builder. Got three cylinders and uses 'em all! 48 horsepower from this hemi-headed SOHC 1-liter. The Turbo Sprint — yes, such a car existed — had a howling 70 horsepower. The hood-latch release is a rectangular button that resembles a badge. 1985 Chevy Sprint Commercial The highest-mileage, lowest-priced car you can buy. 1985 holden barina commercial The Australian-market version was the Holden Barina, and the TV ads featured the Road Runner. 1983 SUZUKI CULTUS Ad In its homeland, this car got screaming guitars and a drive through New York City for its TV commercials.
