Doesn't see a lot of use, we mainly drive locally, using it for our gardening business. Just replaced the power steering box, and it has new brakes front and back (new calipers, pads, shoes, and rear cylinders). We've had this truck for about 3 years, and during that time I replaced the seat upholstery, installed a shoulder belt (driver's side) and new lap belts, replaced some interior components (knobs, switches, etc), replaced all the ball joints and front leaf-spring bushings, shocks, starter motor, and locking hubs. Put new BF tires on it a little over a year ago (haven't put on much mileage since so there's still plenty of tread). I believe it has a 5 or 6 inch lift. 4x4 works fine, and this truck has the locking hubs as well.

Always starts and runs fine. I just changed the oil and filter last weekend.
Of course she's an old truck, a real gem, and a great project truck - restoring a truck like this would be an awesome project. I wanted to do just that, but with 4 kids and a divorce... well, it's just not going to happen anytime soon. One of the reasons I originally bought it is that it's pretty easy to work on and parts are generally cheap and readily available. There are some blemishes as far as rust and dents and such - the rear driver's side panel has a dented area and cracked tail-light, and there are some rust spots. Needs body work here and there. Overall it's an amazing and strong truck - it's built like a tank.
I have a spare tire for the truck as well.
It's hard to read that old odometer, but it looks to be about 40269, and I don't know if it's ever turned-over.

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show

Thu, Dec 15 2016

Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. GM isn't liable for punitive damages in ignition switch cases

Wed, Nov 20 2019

NEW YORK — A federal appeals court said General Motors is not liable for punitive damages over accidents that occurred after its 2009 bankruptcy and involved vehicles it produced earlier, including vehicles with faulty ignition switches. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan said on Tuesday that the automaker did not agree to contractually assume liability for punitive damages as part of its federally-backed Chapter 11 reorganization. GM filed for bankruptcy in June 2009, and its best assets were transferred to a new Detroit-based company with the same name. The other assets and many liabilities stayed with "Old GM," which is also known as Motors Liquidation Co. Tuesday's 3-0 decision may help GM reduce its ultimate exposure in nationwide litigation over defective ignition switches in several Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn models. It is also a defeat for drivers involved in post-bankruptcy accidents, including those who collided with older GM vehicles driven by others, as well as their law firms. The ignition switch defect could cause engine stalls and keep airbags from deploying, and has been linked to 124 deaths. A lawyer for the drivers and their law firms did not immediately respond to requests for comment. GM had no comment. Circuit Judge Dennis Jacobs said GM's agreement to acquire assets "free and clear" of most liabilities excused it from punitive damages claims for Old GM's conduct. He also noted that the judge who oversaw the bankruptcy concluded that the new company could not be liable for claims that the "deeply insolvent" Old GM would never have paid. The decision upheld a May 2018 ruling by U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman in Manhattan, who oversees the ignition switch litigation. Drivers have sought a variety of damages in that litigation, including for declining resale values. GM has recalled more than 2.6 million vehicles since 2014 over ignition switch problems. It has also paid more than $2.6 billion in related penalties and settlements, including $900 million to settle a U.S. Department of Justice criminal case.
