1995 K1500 Silverado with Sport package and Z71 Off Road Package. This is an amazing truck. It only has 120,000 miles and runs perfectly. The truck has a flowmaster dual exhaust, BF Goodrich 285/75/16 new AT KO tires with the newer 1999-2003 Silverado wheels. The truck is a 5 speed with the 5.7L V8. The truck has been practically rebuilt as it has had a tune up including spark plugs, wires, etc. When looking at the top of the engine, it looks like the top has been rebuilt because it doesn't have a spec of carbon deposit anywhere. There are no leaks on the truck. It has air conditioning, pw, pdl, keyless entry, a tow hitch and an aftermarket stereo system including a Kenwood Excelon MP3 player and Polk Speakers throughout the truck that sound amazing. The windows are tinted to what looks to be around 20%, but it doesn't impede your vision at all while still allowing privacy. Everything works as it should and the drive in this truck is amazing considering the age and year of the vehicle. It is a very clean truck and was originally owned by an elderly gentleman who would just use it to take his wife on trips. The suspension is tight and the steering as well with no vibrations or difficulty going over bumps or turning. The brakes are new as of last year, both front and rear. There is absolutely nothing this truck needs, but the paint on the roof has started to fade and for it to be a show truck, this would need to be addressed (quoted $150-200). When you see the truck in person you can tell it's been well maintained and when you drive it, you can tell it's had every bit of service that you could do in order to keep a vehicle running well. The only reason I'm even considering selling is that I would like an extended cab mid-sized truck since my travel needs have increased.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Recharge Wrap-up: Tesla sells Model S 85 and 70D in Malaysia, Chevy Spark EV built using clean energy

Mon, May 18 2015

Tesla will send Model S 70D and Model S 85 EVs to Malaysia for leasing to government-linked companies. Only those companies will have access to the models as a two-year lease, which will be imported and leased by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation. The plan is part of an initiative by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to allow government officials and other influential people to get to know the electric vehicles and the benefits that come along with them. Most of the 120 vehicles available will be the 70D model, and the lessee companies will have the option to purchase the cars at the end of the two years. Read more from Paul Tan's Automotive News. Wanxiang is hosting students from Delaware in China as part of a program to learn Mandarin and visit schools and science and technology sites. Wanxiang, the auto parts company that acquired Fisker (which had manufacturing based in Delaware) and battery maker A123 Systems, will give the students tours of its solar technology facilities, among other places, and see what daily life is like for families in the region. The program helps students interested in science and technology to foster marketable skills — like learning a foreign language — that will help them get jobs in industries around the world. The e-motors building of the General Motors Baltimore Operations complex has a new rooftop solar array and uses LED and CFL lighting, helping the building recently earn LEED Silver certification. The landfill-free facility also takes advantage of the 1.23-megawatt solar array on the grounds, helping it source six percent its energy from renewable sources. The plant has reduced its energy intensity by 15.5 percent in three years, and continues to work toward reducing consumption and sourcing clean energy. "We believe reducing our environmental footprint is good for the climate and good for our business," says GM Executive Director of Global Public Policy Greg Martin.
