1991 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 STANDARD CAB LONG BED
A little about the truck here, I have owned it since 2005. it has been the best truck I have ever owned, about 3 years ago I decided to build it to the way I wanted it. It took over a year in the body shop everything was stripped down including glass. As soon as I got the truck back from the paint shop, my wife told me we were going to be Parents!! well that changed everything with the truck. I completed the build on the truck not realizing I would not put a car seat in it. lol. so now my daughter is 2 and the truck literally just sits in my warehouse, I pull it out on Fridays wash it and drive it on the weekends provided it is not raining out and or im not working that weekend then park it back on sundays and hop in to my work truck. So now it is just taking up room.
what the truck has:
EXTERIOR: the truck had one rust hole on the pass cab corner about the size of a quarter, we cut that out and welded in a new corner. aside from that there was no rust anywhere else. The paint we used was Spies Heckler, it is a 2-tone paint with black on top and a dark charcoal on the bottom, it is very neat because sometimes you see the 2-tone and sometimes you don't, it all depends on the lighting. it has a brand new steel cowl induction hood, new door handles, new tail lights, new cargo light, new windshield, new back window. (it had a slider in it originally), new front bumper valance and fog lights, new antenna base/mount, new mirrors, new wheels and tires.
EXTERIOR NEEDS: Wash and wax.
MOTOR: it is the stock drivetrain since day 1, it has a 350 5.7L V8 with 208,000 miles on it. I never did anything with the motor or the auto trans, only because there is not a thing wrong with them, plenty of power, shifts perfect and will get up and go. I wasn't going to put a lot of money in to the motor when my plan was when it died id put a bigblock in it. It just doesn't die! you can drive this truck anywhere. 100% reliable, with ice cold air and sweat bullets heat! K&n stock air filter, K&N oil filter with Mobil 1 synthetic.
MOTOR NEEDS: Nothing
INTERIOR: Interior is stock, in the terms of seats and door panels, I never had a chance to have them redone. The carpet is new with dynamat and extra jute padding, the floor mats are original to the truck, the dash has been redied to make all the trim the same color. as these trucks age, the trims start to change colors at different rates, now it is all the same color and new. Overhead console was added along with temp/compass mirror. Stock cup holder was added under dash aswell, that was an option back in the day!! Headliner and visors all in great shape. Suntek Carbon window tint all the way around. everything works, power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, ac, heat, lights, glove box light, ash tray light, new polk audio speakers thru out. etc, etc.
INTERIOR NEEDS: seats and door panels to be redone. they are ok and certainly useable, just not up to par with the rest of the truck.
WHEELS & TIRES: Billet Spectialties 18x10 in the rear and 18x8 up front, staggered with meaty tires, not rubber bands. Brand new Continental Contiprocontact tires, 255/45/18 in the rear and 235/50/18 up front, you can still see the paint lines on the tires. wheel locks included.
Handles amazing. grips the road tight and just hugs the curves.
EXTRAS: Belltech, drop spindles and springs up front for a 4 inch drop and a c-notch and Belltech axle flip kit in the back for a 6 inch drop. New belltech drop shocls all the way around. New front brake lines up front and new stabilizer bushings up front aswell. New control arm bushings also. New flowmaster exhaust from stock exhaust manifolds all the way back. sounds beautiful. I don't even turn the radio on sometimes, I just listen to the motor and exhaust. windshield wipers have been removed and placed behind seat. wiper shafts have rubber caps on, so when it rains pull the caps off and put wipers on. Sorry but theres nothing cool about wipers. lol
PAYMENT AND SHIPPING: $500.00 deposit required within 24 hours of end of auction. cashiers check or cash preferred. I will help assist with shipping arrangements, but it is buyers responsibility to pay and arrange shipping. I will just help with meeting shippers and help loading.
CONTACT: You can ask me anything you want about the truck, it is mine, im not selling it for a friend or my friends uncle, it is mine! I know the truck inside and out. you can call me anytime at (nine 5 four) 445-7069 if I don't answer just leave a message and ill call you back as soon as I can.
I tried to describe the truck as much as I can, im sure theres something I might not have thought of or may have missed. it is a used truck and it is not perfect in appearance, it has 2-3 minor scratches in it :(

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in
Sat, 15 Jun 2013You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car
Wed, 20 Feb 2013We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
