Vehicle was purchased new back in 1991. Driven for a few months, and then the truck was stolen.

Fast forward to 2006 and the truck was found in Staten Island, New York sitting in a garage.

Had to replace a door, and some minor cosmetic pieces, went over the mechanicals, did a fluid change and started it right up.

test drove, flushed tranny, and been using the truck on and off the past few months. It pulls strong, and drives like a new truck would.

I am not using it as much as I would like to, so I figure I sell it and let someone else enjoy this relic.

As good as new.

When I got the truck back the headliner was sagging and the seats were gone, so I purchased new seats and had them reupholstered in red vinyl. Also new door trim panels, and door and window switches were installed. Parts ordered from GM when available, other parts that have been discontinued were ordered from LMC truck (door trim panels)

The truck is currently missing a radio and the AC does not work becuase the system is not charged and it takes R12, not R134.

It would require a retrofit and a charge to work properly.

New raised white letter COOPER tires in the original factory size.

Now, whats up with the salvage title?

When the truck was stolen back in 1991 when it was new, the insurance company paid the cost of the truck.

Fast forward when it was recovored 15 years later, the NY state department of motor vehicles deemed it a salvage vehicle due to the fact the an insurance company had already paid out on the car.

The car has NEVER been in any accidents. It has the salvage title due to the DMV following a strict protocol, I could not have them issue a regular title.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. GM cutting production at two plants

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though.
