1990 Custom Chevrolet Step Side. Top Quality Workmanship And Detail. on 2040-cars

Year:1990 Mileage:200000 Color: is a combination of quality parts
Location:

Detroit, Michigan, United States

This truck is my 5th custom build. I found it on eBay in 2008 in Atlanta, GA. The truck was factory and very clean with 200,000 miles so I bought it for $2500.  I've invested more than $14,000 in the project and it was well worth to me. I have a little experience building customs, a 1976 and 1981 C-10,  1977 Corvette, 1994 Yukon GT.  In February 2009 a 350 crate motor was installed with all new engine accessories including AC. This was followed by a complete Bell-Tech suspension spindles, shackles, shocks, springs and hangers. Empire Motorsport in supplied the billet wipers, steps, dash, upper and lower, air vents, pedals and door trim.  Ron's Custom Detail in Las Vegas for the billet speaker covers in the doors. Mahogany and billet Grant steering wheel.  Superior Custom in GA rose wood trim.

The seats are burgundy and gray leather.  Doors burgundy leather and gray micro suede. Headliner, visors and 2 sub boxes are covered in gray micro suede.  The exterior is a combination of quality parts: AIM Industries Phantom grill, Trenz steel bumper, Street Scene Mirrors, Check Mate bedcover, Stylin Truck rear wing, Sir Michaels steel roll pan (molded in),  Bed Rug and full size chrome spare.  It rolls on 22" U2 wheels and 22" Lexani tires.

This truck rides very smooth and corners great.  You can burn rubber with ease and go over 100 mph and feel like you are only doing 70 mph.  I've you are looking for a detailed custom truck build with quality parts and workmanship, this is it.  This truck has only 5,700 miles on the crate motor and runs like new.  I have no time for scammers or dreamers.  I done a lot of research on this site and others before re-listing my truck and I do not believe you will find a better truck for the price and quality of this one.  The only vehicle I will consider for trade is a 2002 to 2006 Yukon Denali with a 6.0 L, leather and under 100,000 miles.

This is last time this truck will be listed.  Good Luck bidders.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

GM reintroduces Tripower name in the worst way possible

Wed, Aug 1 2018

The story of General Motors' use of the Tripower moniker begins way back in 1957, when Semon E. "Bunkie" Knudsen, then General Manager of GM's Pontiac division, directed his engineers to inject more performance into his brand's line of V8-powered automobiles. Fuel injection was an option, but hot rodders flocked instead to Tri-Power (marketed way back when with a hyphen), which grafted a trio of two-barrel Rochester carburetors onto a single intake manifold. A legend was born. And that legend was born of performance. At idle and when full power wasn't required, Pontiac's Tri-Power system used just the middle carburetor, which helped make the setup easier to tune. Depending on the year and model, either a vacuum system or a mechanical linkage opened up the two outer carbs, thereby switching from two barrels to six, and allowing the engine to take in more fuel and air. And it was an easy marketing win – six barrels is better than four barrels, right? Because performance! So, when news filtered in that GM has resurrected the Tripower name, those of us who grew up attending classic car shows and wrenching on old Pontiacs did a double-take. And then we all collectively sighed. Turns out that today's Tripower refers to a trio of fuel-saving measures that include cylinder deactivation, active thermal management, and intake valve lift control, according to Automotive News. And, at least for now, it applies to GM's line of fullsize trucks powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. We're all for saving fuel whenever possible. And we have zero say in how any automaker chooses to market its products and technologies. But, we'll offer our two cents anyway: Relaunching a storied name from the past is fine. Relaunching a storied name from the past while completely overlooking the reasons the name got famous in the first place is only going to irritate the people who remember the name in the first place. Couldn't they just call this new technology package something else?
