THIS IS A USED 1979 CHEVY SCOTTSDALE 4X4 PROJECT TRUCK. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS TRUCK FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS PART TIME AS A HOBBY. BASICLY WHAT I DID WAS THAT I HAD 2 CK TRUCKS. ONE OF THEM HAD A GOOD ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION BUT IT WAS ALL AROUNG RUSTED. THERE WAS NO WAY OF FIXING THE METAL TO RESTOR IT. THE OTHER ONE HAD A GREAT BODY ALL AROUND, BUT A NONE WORKING ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. SO WHAT I DID WAS THAT I CHANGE ALL THE METAL PARTS TO THE TRUCK THAT WAS ALL RUSTED AND THEN TOOK IT TO THE BODY SHOP AND HAD IT FIXED UP AND READY FOR PAINT. IT HAS 3 COATS OF PRIMER WITH OUT CUTTING CORNERS ON IT. THE TRUCK IS SITTING ON 20'S. THE DOORS ARE FROM A SIVERADO, THAT MEANS THAT IT HAS POWER WINDOWS. THEY ARE NOT WORKING DO TO THAT THE SCOTTSDALE IS MANUAL AND HAS NO POWER SUPPLY TO THE DOOR, BUT THAT IS AN EASY FIX. IT HAS A NEW OIL CHANGE AND SPARK PLUG WIRES. IN THE INTERIOR, THE DOOR PANELS ARE FOR POWER WINDOWS BUT ARE NOT CONNECTED. ALL THE A/C PARTS ARE THERE BUT IS NOT WORKING. THE CARPET IS THERE BUT WILL NEED A NEW ONE. THE SEATS ARE IN FAIR CONDITION, BUT ARE SUN BURNED WITH DISCOLORED UPHOLSTERY.
AGAIN THIS IS A PROJECT TRUCK THAT THE BUYER WILL HAVE TO CONTINOUE WERE I LEFT OFF.
THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON, BECAUSE, THERE IS NO RETURS OF ANY KIND.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME SELLING SOMETHING, SO I DON'T KNOW ABOUT SHIPPING, BUT I WILL BE MORE THAN WILLING TO MAKE THE BEST THAT I CAN IN HELPING YOU GET THE BEST DEAL AND PRICE TO SHIP YOU THE TRUCK SAFE AND FAST. THANKS.

2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper
Fri, Nov 10 2017With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
Buick Encore, Chevy Trax earn Top Safety Pick from IIHS [w/video]
Thu, Feb 12 2015The Buick Encore has been a massive sales success practically from the moment it debuted, and Buick recently decided to increase production to keep up with demand for the premium compact crossover. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently put one to the test again, and the Encore earned a Top Safety Pick award. It's the first model from the brand to score the nod since 2013, according to the IIHS, and the rating also carries over to the 2015 Chevrolet Trax. The 2015 Encore scored a Good rating in all of the IIHS' evaluations, including the 40-mile-per-hour, small overlap front crash test. That was a big improvement over the previous model the institute tested, which scored a Poor result in the overlap test. In the first test, about 13 inches of the lower door hinge pillar came into the passenger compartment, and the steering wheel airbag moved too far to protect the dummy's head. Improvements for the latest model year showed six inches of intrusion this time, and the airbags caught the dummy's head well. The dummy's sensors also indicated a low risk of injury. The two CUVs missed out on the full Top Safety Pick+ because the IIHS scored the Encore as only having a basic front crash prevention system, and there was no such equipment for the Trax. To earn the highest mark, models need at least an advanced rating by the institute for this technology. Buick Encore, Chevrolet Trax earn 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK award ARLINGTON, Va. - A small SUV is the first vehicle from the Buick brand to qualify for a TOP SAFETY PICK award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety since 2013. The Buick Encore's newly introduced, lower-priced twin, the Chevrolet Trax, also qualifies for the honor. The Encore's award follows improvements to the SUV's structure for better small overlap front protection. The 2015 model earns a good rating in the small overlap test. In contrast, the 2013-14 Encore rated poor in the test. The driver's space was seriously compromised with intrusion measuring as much as 13 inches at the lower door hinge pillar. The dummy's head barely contacted the front airbag before sliding off the left side, as the steering column moved to the right. The side curtain airbag deployed too late and didn't have sufficient forward coverage to protect the head. In the latest test, the driver space was maintained reasonably well, with maximum intrusion of 6 inches at the door hinge pillar and instrument panel. The dummy's movement was well-controlled.
