1979 Chevy truck in great running condition
I bought this truck about a year ago and a full tune up was performed with all fluids ( brake, transmission, oil, power steering etc) being replaced , cap and rotor, wires , all filters. New fuel pump and fuel lines, new edelbrock carburator, new fuel meters. And had the whole motor checked out by a mechanic ... So the motor is running in Great condition and also the transmission It's an automatic truck and moves quick and shifts fine The mileage is unknown due to the meter not working but it runs good I also got the interior redone with new carpet, seats, new dash and front cluster trim new headliner. Completed with interior plastics, new head unit and speakers... Power locks and windows and new duralast gold battery I invested about $3,500 on interior and $1,800 mechanically including the new carb and fuels pump Exterior is In good condition but it could use a better quality paint Job.. The paint isnt cracked or peeling and with a good wax it looks good... Tire have about 60% tread and in good condition It's needs seatbelts and a couple interior pieces.. But nothing major and overall it is a good running truck Registered in California with registration paid , Title In hand, and just performed a smog check.. Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
