Used Chevy K10 4 wheel drive pickup truck. 400 SBC engine, SM465 4 speed transmission w/ granny low 1st crawler gear, NP205 transfer case, Doug Thorley headers, Smitty built front prerunner bumper, ProComp halogen lights, floor welded roll cage, 4 inch spring & block lift, fabricated tube rear bumper with spare tire carrier, bed tailgate supports, Simpson gate net.
This truck is complete minus a clutch. It used to have a SBC 350 that had a rear main seal leak that ruined the clutch. I pulled the engine to address the clutch and seal leak & upon further inspection the engine wasn't really worth doing a good rebuild. I had the SBC 400 sitting in the garage so I figured I would just put that in place of the 350. Never got around to it. Kept the truck for a long time thinking that I would get around to it "someday"... I have another project I want to get started so this one has to go...
The engine, transmission and transfer case are out of the truck and sitting in the bed. The interior bench seat is shot and would probably need to be redone. There isn't a clutch (that's the only thing missing). The body is relatively straight with a few trail dings and bruises and very little rust in the typical places. The frame has been welded with a steering box support plate. The interior roll cage is only welded to the floor, it is NOT tied into the frame. The tires hold air but need to be replaced. This is a project truck or it could be a doner for the trans & NP205. I'm not sure but I would think that the transmission should be gone through only because it has been sitting exposed for some time now. It shifted and worked perfect when I pulled it. The top plate on the trans where the stick enters the trans has a broken lip at the roll pin that retains the stick. That should be replaced but I used a couple of hose clamps to get by for a while. It has the basic 10 bolt, C clip axles - nothing special. Manual front hubs.
It was a fun truck but I'm onto another project...
Thanks for looking and bidding.

GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.
"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
