Slammed Blacked Out 68 Chevy With New Suspension And Interior on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
Very nice 1968 chevy truck for sale. It is tagged and inspected until May. It runs and drives great it makes a great daily driver. It has been lowered so it has new springs and shocks all the way around. It also has a new battery. Interior is in great shape and very clean. Has a working radio and speakers. Paint is ok but it is not show quality. Looks good from 5-10 ft away but up close can see some imperfections. The color is semi gloss black. Has a 350 motor with a 3 on the tree transmission. Rims are plasti diped black so you can peel it off it you would like to have the original chrome wheels. Also comes with the tool box you see in the bed. Tool box does not have keys. The driver side window regulator is not working so the window does not roll down. You can look on here and find them for like $30. I have all new matching window and door handles for the interior as well that will be included. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
