What I am selling is probably one of the coolest trucks in the country, where else can you find a cooler truck, its a C10 short box, pretty bad ass truck by itself , but with an LSX conversion? its such a blast to drive, over 500 wheel horse power on pump gas, and super reliable , the 4L80E lets you cruise at 80 mph on the highway and still get 18 mpg!
The turbo set up is about 6 months old, 76/75 Turbo with a T4 flange, a big nasty front mount. It has a carburetor solutions unlimited blow through 650dp  , MSD controller does all the ignition firing. The trans is the tried and true 4L80E with a 2500 ptc converter, it has a nice transmission controller that allows you to tune the transmission, and also change shift firmness and rpm on the fly.
I just drove the truck this past weekend about 300 plus miles, it was 90 degrees out, this thing is super reliable, temps never got past 190, and that was in a show car parade. It has an all new fuel system as well, -10 steel braided lines , Aeromotive a1000 pump with a filter, it has a 12 gallon fuel tank.
The paint is also very unique, it is a multi step and uses 8 different colors to achieve the "faux-patina"  its top coated with a PPG matte clear, the body on the truck is solid and straight, its has some minor pin holes at the very back edge of the bed, nothing else visibly noticeable. every where the truck is driven it gets major attention, and did I mention it hauls ass, its no 9 second ride, but it should run some respectable 12's, remember this is on 13# of boost, if you want to get down rite greedy throw some C16 in it and turn the boost up to 20# , make sure you put some serious tires on the back though.
The tires and wheels are 18's up front and 20x10's in the rear, the tires are also brand new BFG's.

The interior is clean, it has new carpet, the seat is in good condition, it medium blue cloth. It has a nice dash pad and door panels are also in good condition. It does need seat  belts installed, I have some just haven't had the extra time to put them in.

If you are looking for a perfect show truck, this IS NOT it, it is a very cool looking 69 C10 with a freaking bad ass engine / trans combo that will take you anywhere you want to drive it. You can take it further and personalize the truck to fit YOU, there is room to grow or enjoy it as is, thanks for looking and please call me with questions

GM recalls 83,572 SUVs for ignition switch issue

Sun, Jan 4 2015

General Motors is recalling 83,572 SUVs from the 2011 and 2012 model years over a potential ignition lock actuator issue. In affected vehicles, the actuator isn't the right size, which could cause the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position, and then either due to a jarring event or a "cool interior temperature" the ignition could switch back to the "Accessory" position. Doing so would cause a loss of power assistance and the airbags might not deploy. This is a different ignition issue than the one that's been ongoing for the past year. GM said it expects that less than 500 vehicles suffer from the problem, but that the pool could include vehicles from 2007 through to 2014 that have already been fixed, but with defective parts. The 2011-2012 SUVs included in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. GM will notify owners and dealers will inspect the ignition lock housing to see if it needs a free replacement. RECALL Subject : Ignition Lock Actuator may Bind Report Receipt Date: DEC 30, 2014 NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V827000 Component(s): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position. CONSEQUENCE: If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the ignition lock housing, as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-458-8006 (Cadillac), 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14696 for the original equipment, and 14912 for the service replacement parts.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

GM will recall more than 3.3 million vehicles in China for suspension defect

Sat, Sep 29 2018

BEIJING (Reuters) - General Motors' joint venture in China, Shanghai GM, will recall more than 3.3 million Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles stating Oct. 20 because of a defect with the suspension system, China's market regulator said on Saturday. GM Shanghai said in a text message to Reuters that the suspension arm may be deformed under extreme operating conditions, but there are no known casualties related to the issue. The recall includes cars produced between 2013 and 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement. GM will contact those affected and repair the vehicles free of charge, it said.
