UP FOR SALE IS MY 1978 SCOTTSDALE STEP-SIDE SHORTBED 4X4 ORIGINAL

This truck was my baby. She is definitly a head-turner when she gets driven. Truck was recently restored within the last 5 years and the paint shines really good with only a few scratches and small dings from the previous owner. The Truck has dual fuel tanks the operate perfectly from the factory! The 4x4 engages and works perfectly as well. This truck also was a FACTORY AC truck with DEALER Paperwork to prove it! The AC engages and only gets slightly cool but depending on the selling price I might have that fixed! It was also a wood-bed optioned truck as well! So this truck is definitly a one-of-a-kind truck that you really dont see often! The Lift Kit is a 6'' Rough Country Lift that is brand new along with brand new Bart Wheels that are 15x12'' wide wrapped in brand new Cooper STT M/T tires that are 35x12.50'' wide. All are brand new. The truck has dual flowmaster exhaust that dump out underneath the bed for a stealthy look. The rear bumper has one ding in it as seen by the pictures! The engine bay is all original down to the emissions sticker on the air cleaner box! It also still has the original door tags as seen in the pictures! Truck runs and shifts flawlessly with NO leaks whatsoever! The truck has a new alternator and oil change as well! The interior is in great shape except for the dash pad has a few slight cracks in it! The original windshield with built in antenna is still in the truck! The radio works but the one speaker in dash should probly be replaced to have clear sound quality! P.S.- I HAVE THE ORIGINAL STOCK SUSPENSION ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL RALLY WHEELS THAT GO ALONG WITH IT!! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! Thats right a NO RESERVE AUCTION!! If you have ANY QUESTIONS CALL OR TEXT ME AT 561-628-0794!! Good luck bidding and just know that your bidding on an original piece of automotive history!! Truck is for sale locally as well so I have the right to end the auction early if necessary! Thanks!

Seeing the Detroit Auto Show via drone

Sun, Jan 18 2015

Seeing the Chevrolet display at the Detroit Auto Show is worth doing this year, and not just because of the new Corvette Z06, Volt and Bolt concept. In order to attract the new kids, The Bowtie has gone what the old kids used to call "buck wild" with their show stand at Cobo Hall. A Corvette Z06, Trax, and Colorado are parked along a central aisle, called Mainstreet, at the end of which is a 20-foot-tall, 73-foot long transparent screen lording over the new Volt. Elsewhere are five more 20-foot-tall screens broadcasting nine stories today's Chevrolet wants to tell about its vehicles, from performance to belief in the power of play to its 4G LTE-equipped OnStar telematics service. Then there are the social media and virtual reality safety installations, the community presentations and more. Chevrolet flew a drone through the stand to show off what it's doing, which is has replaced eye-level video as the next best thing to being there. You can check it out in the video above.

2020 Chevy and GMC HD truck spy shots reveal LED lighting

Mon, Aug 20 2018

With Chevy and GMC's 1500 series pickups just starting to roll into dealerships, our attention naturally turns to the Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 series trucks. We've seen these HD trucks testing already, but thes latest spy photos give us our first good glimpse of the two HD trucks' headlights through some translucent camouflage, and their designs appear very interesting and quite different from each other. The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD looks to be getting a striking set of LED lights that flank the grille. A previously released teaser image of the truck shows that the front lighting elements are split by a bulky wing that branches out from a big, upright chrome face, and both top and bottom units seem to incorporate LED slashes. If you look closely at the images, you can easily make out the Chevrolet script cut into the grille's top edge. Amidst a bevy of Chevy test trucks was one lone GMC model in a dually configuration, and the Sierra HD also appears to have some LED accent lighting up front. Unlike the boomerang-shaped Chevy LEDs, GMC's version sports a shoulder-like right angle of light bars. Assuming these are production-level lighting units, it seems the Sierra HD will stick pretty close to the face of GMC's latest light-duty pickup truck. We're still waiting for confirmation on what range of powertrains will be available in GM's next-gen HD trucks, but we're sure there will be both gasoline- and diesel-burning engines on the ordering sheet. We expect to hear official details on the trucks sometime soon. Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
