No Reserve Chevy Pick Up Truck 454 Big Block V8 Hot Street Rod Turn Key Resto!! on 2040-cars
Daytona Beach, Florida, United States
NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE!! NO RESERVE!!!
BID TO OWN!! CALL CLINT FOR MORE INFO @ 610-763-8277 For your consideration is a beautiful 1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup truck. Powered by a late model Big Block 454 Fuel Injected V8 and backed with a 400 Turbo Automatic Transmission and a 3.42 Posi Rear. Power steering and Power disc brakes makes this hot rod a pleasure to drive or cruise anywhere! Last week I drove this truck 700 miles round trip to a car show. It ran extremely well and averaged 15 MPG cruising at 70 MPH highway driving and the temp did not inch above 200 degrees. The restoration was completed about 2 years ago. Everything has been redone or replaced on this C10. The paint is a gorgeous Green and White two tone, which is similar to the original color. The paint has much shine and depth, and will impress at any angle. The front bumper is painted (which actually has a great look with this color combo) and the back is chrome. There is a small dent in the front grill chrome right below the Bowtie on the hood. The rest of the chrome and stainless trim are in excellent condition. The body lines are very straight, everything lines up well and the doors close tightly as they should. The glass is clear. New weather strips and window gaskets have been installed. New Exhaust with Dynomax Mufflers. (The exhaust will be finished when this ad is live). It rides straight down the road free of any shakes, shimmy’s, vibrations. Handles great, and very easy to drive! The interior
shows extremely well. New seat foam and covers, New Carpert. The door panels and
door jambs are painted with the same quality as the rest of the vehicle. All of
the gauges work properly. The head unit is new style AM/FM USB AUX Jack ready
with new style speakers mounted under the dash so no new holes were cut into
the original style interior. New Gas tank. Wipers, Headlights, High beams, Tail lights,
Blinkers, Brake lights all function as they should. The undercarriage is rust
free and very solid. No holes, patch panels, rust, or any issues. Frame is
straight and rust free. There is a light undercoating present which is
consistent with a factory application. In other words, it’s not all globbed up
with Auto Zone spray can undercoat. No surprises! I did purchase the chrome/wood
grain kit for the exterior sides of the truck, and is included in the sale. I
prefer the cleaner, “street rod” look so I decided not to install. This C10 truly needs nothing. Turn Key drive immediately!! If you’re looking for a factory style hot rod that sounds right, can smoke the tires, not hurt your pocket at the pump, and can win trophies at any car show…. Look no further than this example of American Muscle. Cant restore this Chevrolet for even close to the asking price. This is a high end driver that shows extremely well, yet you can drive and enjoy it without spending $30, $40, or $50,000!! Make your dream a reality today!!! I encourage & welcome pre purchase inspections. I will work with your inspector, appraiser, mechanic, etc to make you feel comfortable with your purchase. Vehicle is sold AS-IS, NO Warranties Expressed or Implied. I have a clean clear title for this vehicle. If you have less than 5 feedback, please email prior to bidding. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Don't assume anything. This is a legal binding contract. If you are the winning bidder, you are obligated to complete the purchase. You are not bidding on the opportunity to come and look at the vehicle and decide if you want to purchase the item! Also, please have all financing or funds in place prior to bidding. In other words, ask your wife first!! $1,000.00 Deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days of auction close. PLEASE NOTE: If you pay by a certified check, vehicle WILL NOT be released until funds have cleared my banking institution!! Which typically takes 7 days. I urge everyone to take a look at my feedback. Bid with confidence! It was 100% until a few weeks ago, when a malicious ebayer left me negative feedback over a $45.00 die cast model car! Apparently, a windshield wiper was damaged in shipping overseas. I attempted to rectify the situation, but the buyer would not respond or contact me at all, and left me negative feedback! Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, 32118. Minutes from major route 95 on the northeast coast of Florida. 10 minutes from (DAB)-Daytona Beach International Airport. 70 miles to (MCO)-Orlando or (SFB)-Sanford International Airports. Fly in and drive it home!! I will assist with selling worldwide, but payment and arrangements are buyer’s responsibility. I have used several shipping companies in the past, and can recommend shippers to contact, or can be arranged right through ebay and their recommended carriers. Contact Clint at 610-763-8277 for more info. I do not send second chance offers! |

GM’s Charlie Wilson was right: Stronger regulations can help U.S. automakers
Fri, Oct 26 2018Charlie Wilson had been the president and CEO of General Motors before being nominated to become secretary of defense by Dwight Eisenhower. During his Senate confirmation hearings, he controversially said, "For years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors, and vice versa." And he was right. While car companies aren't necessarily the most progressive when it comes to things that might have the slightest possibility of political blowback, General Motors should be credited for doing something absolutely forthright in this regard with its announcement that it wants the federal U.S. government not to squash the California Air Resources Board's emissions requirements but to actually create a 50-state "National Zero Emissions Vehicle" program that, in the words of Mark Reuss, executive vice president and president, Global Product Group and Cadillac, "will drive the scale and infrastructure investments needed to allow the U.S. to lead the way to a zero emission future." Filing comments to the Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient Vehicles Rule for Model Years 2021-2026 Passenger Cars and Light Trucks is one thing. But a graphic the company developed for this announcement — shown above — is something else entirely, something that is absolutely credible, creative and clever. There is a photo of a Chevrolet Bolt EV driving along a highway, which seems to be in Marin County (based on the blurred San Francisco skyline in the background). Text on the photo states: "It's Time for American Leadership in Zero Emissions Vehicles." It seems to say, in effect, "If we want to make America great again, then we're going to do it by leading in technology, not by retreating behind weakened regulations." General Motors understands that the auto market is globally competitive, and if U.S.-based companies are going to be in the game, then they'd better be able to out-innovate the companies based elsewhere, where emissions and economy standards are not being weakened. What's good for our country ... Related Video:
GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee
Tue, Sep 8 2015General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.
2015 Chevy Spark will have lighter, smaller battery
Thu, May 15 2014As General Motors gets ready to release the 2015 Chevy Spark EV, it is retooling the Brownstown Battery Assembly to build a new battery system for the chirpy little electric car. The new Spark will lose a few pounds and kWh from its lithium-ion pack, but it will keep all of it's performance specs. The current Spark EV uses a 21-kWh lithium-ion battery pack with bits made by A123 Systems (known as B456 Systems during bankruptcy). For the 2015 model, GM is going to build a 19-kWh battery system in-house that will use 192 LG Chem cells. Losing a bit of energy capacity means that the battery system for the 2015 Spark EV will be 86 pounds lighter but it will keep the EPA-rated 82-mile range and 119 MPGe. The 2015 Spark EV also keeps its $26,685 (plus destination) starting price from the 2014 model. The car will once again qualify for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500. LG Chem also supplies the cells for GM's other plug-in vehicles from its facility in Western Michigan. The Brownstown production line currently builds the battery packs for the Chevy Volt, the Opel Ampera and the Cadillac ELR. You can read our first drive of the 2014 Chevy Spark here. Brownstown Battery Assembly Expands Capabilities Will build battery system for 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV 2014-05-14 DETROIT – General Motors will bring all its electric vehicle battery building capabilities in-house with production of battery systems for the 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV at its battery assembly plant in Brownstown, Mich. "Using our in-house engineering and manufacturing expertise enabled us to deliver a battery system that is more efficient and lighter than the 2014 Spark EV without sacrificing range," said Larry Nitz, executive director of GM global transmission and electrification engineering. "Our successful working relationship with LG Chem has allowed us to deliver a new battery system for the Spark EV that helps us to better leverage our economies of scale." A newly designed battery system features an overall storage capacity of 19 kWh and uses 192 lithium ion cells. The cells are produced at LG Chem's plant in Holland, Mich. The battery system weight of 474 lbs. is 86 pounds lighter than the system in the 2014 Spark EV. The Spark EV battery is built on a dedicated production line at Brownstown, which also manufactures complete battery packs for the Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera and Cadillac ELR.
