Completely Restored Off Frame 1965 Chevrolet C-10 Truck Ready To Drive on 2040-cars
Big Bear City, California, United States
This truck came out of eastern Washington. It was completely restored in 2008. Motor and Trans was rebuilt, I believe the 283 motor is original to the truck. The rear end was upgraded. I bought this in Fallbrook, southern Calif about 7 months ago and drove it home to Big Bear, Cal. It drove great on the freeway at 65-75mph. The person who restored it spent over $25,000. Everything was done down to the nuts and bolts. It's in immaculate shape. The person we bought it from had aftermarket power steering installed. It has approx 4500 miles on the rebuilt motor/trans. We've barely put 300 miles on it since I bought it. Everything works but the radio has some static. Underneath is very clean. It does have a small oil leak, but don't know from where. Windows/rubbers have been replaced. Body and paint are clean. The yellow paint (high quality paint job) is original color. Only thing this truck lacks is white wall tires. The tires only have approx 4500 miles on them. The truck has overdrive (I never used it). Doors shut like new. Steering/front end is like new. Stops perfect. No pulling. Shifts great, does not grind. As far as I know, has never had any rust issues. It's a great truck, just like you drove it off the lot back in 1965. This truck is nice and original. Feel free to come and see it. Email or call with any questions, Steve 909-547-6565, Calif time. Truck is in Big Bear, Calif, in the San Berndardino mountains in Southern Calif. Sold as is/where is. Buyer is responsible for picking it up or transporting it. We will work with you. Deposit is due thru PayPal, balance via verified cashiers check or bank wire transfer. |

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error
Sun, Feb 8 2015After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
GM Halts Sale Of Most Chevy Cruze Models
Fri, Mar 28 2014General Motors has told dealers to stop selling some 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Cruze compact cars. But the company won't say why. Dealers say stop-sale orders are routine and almost always made to fix a safety problem. They received the order in an e-mail Thursday, but no reason was given. The move comes as GM deals with fallout from a delayed recall of 1.6 million older small cars to fix an ignition switch problem. The company says the switches can slip out of the run position and shut down the engine. That causes loss of power steering and brakes and disables air bags. GM says the problem has been linked to 31 crashes and at least a dozen deaths. Spokesman Greg Martin says he has no details on the Cruze.
