70 Chevy C-10 Custom Street Rod Keith Black 454 700r4 Lowered Cd Ac Pw Ps Pb Nr on 2040-cars
Sterling, Illinois, United States
1971 Chevy C10 454 Custom Street Rod The C series was Chevrolet’s full size pick ups from 1960 – 1999. The 1960 model year introduced a new body style of light pick-up trucks that featured a drop-center ladder frame which allowed the cab to sit lower and independent front suspension which gave an almost car-like ride in a truck. The cab was changed for 1964 by eliminating the wraparound windshield, the front grille was redesigned and there were various interior changes. In 1969 it received a redesigned grille again along with a more upright hood. Originally from Texas this sweet rod was restored about 8 years ago at which time the odometer had just flipped 100,000 so the current odometer reading reflects the mileage on the restoration. The heart of this gorgeous truck is a 454 that was performance built by Keith Black and is now a 476 estimated to put out 450hp. The 700R4 was just installed about 2,000 miles ago and when combined with the Eaton 3:08 posi rear end is capable of close to 20 mpg on the highway. When you get in to it you know she means business as it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its 3” exhaust with X pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. She is an absolute pleasure to drive with power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, CD and ice cold A/C. The paint looks as if it was just sprayed yesterday and has a mirror shine. It has been lowered 3” up front and 4” in the rear which really gives this beauty an aggressive stance. When the car was lowered it received a larger front sway bar as well as a rear sway bar making her a pleasure to drive. Also worth noting are the beautiful polished Centerline rims, bright chrome work, sliding rear window, tonneau cover, bed rug and the fact that she has received her NSRA Safety 23 Certification. If you have been looking for Custom Chevy pick up you will be hard pressed to find one as powerful and reliable as this one for what we are asking. Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]
Wed, Jan 7 2015Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. Watch the video below for more about this bizarre case. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
