Gorgeous 66 Chevy C10 fleet side Short wheel base with a 350/350TH. This is a very nice driver, The body is arrow straight, the lines/gaps are solid and it's blanketed in Victory Red paint. The body has very few chips and a couple very minor dings, good looking solid driver, I'd say the paint is an 8 on a scale of 10. This is a southern truck that may have never been driven in snow. Probably restored about 10 years ago, the previous owner did not drive the truck much and it's super clean. The truck has a clean and strong 350 engine with a 350 TH tranny and power steering, plus an Edelbrock aluminum intake with a Webber 4bbl. It runs fine, shifts fine, handles fine. I'd drive it anywhere. Odometer reads 27,400 but likely has more miles on it. Just finished a major suspension upgrade that includes front sway bar, brand new CPP master cylinder, power brake booster, disk brakes in front. (drums in rear) The truck was professionally lowered with a complete CPP lowering kit. The front was dropped 3.5 inches with new 2.5 inch drop spindles and new drop springs. The rear has been lowered 5 inches with new springs and C notches mounted to the frame allowing plenty of clearance for further lowering without major costs if desired. Both the upper and lower A arms were pulled, blasted and painted. Brand new CPP shocks, Tie rod ends, adjustable rear track bar, ball joints and seamless exhaust with stainless mufflers were installed. The front end was professionally aligned to complete the suspension system. The bed is finished in oak with stainless/chrome trim. The interior is finished in gold and has very desirable black bucket seats with matching center bucket seat with embossed Chevy bow tie. Heater works fine, as do all the gauges and the new AM/FM Radio. A rare FACTORY TACHOMETER sets in the original dash cluster, and this one works fine!! The new billet aluminum/ wood steering wheel complements the interior, and of course the horn works as it should. The undercarriage is very clean for a driver, pictures are available on request. You will not be disappointed, please bid with confidence I have tried to list all the plusses and minuses of this truck...Keep in mind that it is used and a summer driver. GM trucks get hybrid versions, but you'll probably never see one
Thu, Feb 25 2016A few years ago, General Motors sold hybrid versions of its Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. They weren't very good, using GM's old two-mode hybrid system that resulted in only negligible fuel economy gains. But GM's trying again, launching eAssist models of the 2016 Silverado and Sierra that are said to offer 2-mpg improvements in city, highway, and combined fuel economy ratings. Problem is, you probably won't be able to get one. Only 700 eAssist trucks will be made for the 2016 model year – 500 Silverados and 200 Sierras. When you consider that GM moved 824,683 examples of its light-duty pickups in 2015, this small run represents 0.08-percent of all Silverado/Sierra production, and GM says it "will monitor the market closely ... and adjust as appropriate moving forward." But that's not the only limitation. The eAssist trucks will only be sold through California dealers. For the Silverado, eAssist can only be optioned on the 1500 Crew Cab 1LT 2WD model, and for the Sierra, the fuel-saving technology is solely available on the 1500 SLT Crew Cab 2WD model with the SLT Premium Plus package. Granted, in terms of the Sierra, that means you get niceties like LED headlights and taillights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bose premium audio, heated seats and steering wheel, lane keep assist, and more. In the trucks, eAssist combines a small electric motor and 0.45-kWh battery pack with the pickups' 5.3-liter V8. GM estimates total output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque – no more horsepower than the non-eAssist trucks, but three more pound-feet of torque. GM says the eAssist trucks can tow up to 9,400 pounds, and the battery only adds 100 pounds to the trucks' weight. The electric motor provides 13 hp and 44 lb-ft of torque for a boost of acceleration off the line, or during passing. It also allows the engine to run in four-cylinder mode for longer periods of time. eAssist uses regenerative braking to help power onboard electrical systems, and adds start/stop to the powertrain. Finally, the so-equipped trucks have a six-percent improvement in aerodynamics, thanks to a soft tonneau cover and active grille shutters in the front fascia. Great news is, the eAssist option is relatively inexpensive, only costing $500. But good luck getting your hands on one.

When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox
Mon, Jan 9 2017Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:
