STOP! Please Read. THIS IS NOT A FIXER or Missing Parts - It is ready to go! This Pickup has a .030 over 350
late model roller block with 3.75 crank = 383 cubic inches. The kit installed produces 500+hp. It will spin the
325/50/15 Mickey Thompsons. No shortcuts were taken. This is my 4th square body. This pickup has a relatively new
paint job - Great Condition. I get at least 1 thumbs up when I take it out. Idles Rough – Great for local Hot

ENGINE: 383 late model 4 bolt main roller block. Forged Probe Pistons – Scat 9000 crank and 7/16 bolt 5.7 rods.
Bought a “balanced” assembly but had it checked locally and paid for it to be race balanced. Block deck to
.020 piston height. Heads are Edelbrock 210 heads (large valve springs for roller cam)– looks like a Victor Jr.
with straight plugs. Edelbrock Roller cam .538/ 548 lift - #2204 in Summit Racing. Trickflow hydraulic roller

R4 4x4 transmission converted to 4x2 – look at the pictured converter cover it is cast aluminum. Bought Monster
in a Box with all the best components – shifts great. Installed B&M ratchet pickup shifter (the best solution).
Has Derale pan with cooling tubes. I have been through 7 transmissions and this is the only one that has lasted.
Aluminum SSR drive shaft was bought new - its light and gorgeous. Rear end is a 12 Bolt Truck with 4:11 Gears and
an Eaton Posi unit (it holds). Traction Bars. Has Aluminum support housing cover. Aftermarket 10 axles driving
Weld Wheels and 325/50/15 Mickey Thompsons. Flaming River drop spindles and springs - rear has a flip kit. Hedman
Hedders 1 3/4 long tube going into 3" exhaust with Magnaflows with turndowns.

BODY: 1987 Chevy R10. Still have owner’s manual. New Bumpers front and back. Recent ball joints and braking.
Aftermarket grille, plate trans cooler, large Champion aluminum radiator – 2 electric fans controlled by heat
switch for cooling; serpentine belt system, late model aluminum AC compressor. 2 fuel tanks with electric pumps
and an exterior MDS booster pump. Body was extremely straight when I bought it and only needed a little body work.
Body was painted original red with clear coat.

INTERIOR: Was removed – new sound material under new carpet and door panels. New Carpet and headliner. Seat is
in very good condition – interior still smells new. All gages work – including 10k rpm tach with working shift
light. After market stereo with CD. Clear Texas title - in my name.

2014 Chevy Silverado priced from *$24,585, V8 gets better economy than Ford EcoBoost V6

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Chevrolet has thrown down the next hand in the pickup truck poker wars and revealed at least a couple of potential aces - depending on which numbers matter most to you. The 2014 2014 Silverado 1500 with its 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 gets 335 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, is mated to a six-speed automatic, can tow 11,500 pounds with the optional Max Trailer Package and costs the same as the outgoing Silverado, $24,585 (*including $995 destination fee). Chevy says the Silverado also stands atop the fuel economy charts when comparing any competitor with a V8 engine - and some competitors with V6 engines. The two-wheel drive model returns 16 miles per gallon city, 23 mpg highway, 19 mpg combined in two-wheel drive guise and 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined as a four-wheel drive.
For context around those numbers, the most fuel efficient V8-powered 2013 Ford F-150 pickups lose about two mpg in every metric compared to the Silverado, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost returning 16 city, 18 highway and 22 combined in two-wheel drive. However, that EcoBoost does have 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. You can get a Ram 1500 with a 3.6-liter V6 that gets 25 mpg highway, but it has 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The 2013 Ram with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and its 395 hp and 407 lb-ft drops one mpg in every category to the Silverado. Its tow rating is 200 pounds beyond its nearest competitor, the F-150 with the Max Trailer Tow Package.
Elsewhere, the new Silverado gets a quieter cab with a redesigned interior, a new bed with improved load-management possibilities, disc brakes all around, tweaked steering and suspension, along with free standard scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition

Sat, Dec 13 2014

To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:
