For Sale 1985 C10 with a fresh frame off restoration. First off let me say that this is a GMC Sierra with a chevy front end. This Truck started off as a rust free shell. I then took a super clean 1990 Custom Conversion Suburban with only 114k miles on it and transferred the complete drive train, front clip, front brakes and rear end into the 85. So now the truck has a low mileage fuel injected 350 with over drive transmission, rear antilock brakes and heavy duty brakes front and back. Also the suspension has been completely rebuilt. Truck has new tires and also the spare tire is brand new. Has custom audio system with JL Audio subwoofer. Truck runs and drives perfect, AC blows ice cold and you can drive this truck anywhere and not have to worry. Ill let the pictures do the rest of the talking :)  If you have any questions or would like to come look at the truck please email me or call or text me at 8326084642 my name is Bobby photo 63242D84-40A7-4339-ACD2-45FE94F2A304_zpsx3b57del.jpg photo E099788B-9718-4DE4-97F5-7B4246B0EDC2_zpsar80ducf.jpg photo 940016A1-5B93-4932-AFAD-22F5B043EF88_zpsj2gl7n0v.jpg photo 3B81FD51-C7A3-471E-900A-270D3C07B97C_zpsjsb9hqou.jpg photo 46A0AC10-479F-4347-BBF7-7298466FD32F_zpstqqyrt9w.jpg photo A6D7734C-0FF8-4870-B80F-CBAB3E1EDD89_zpsctn5eukb.jpg photo 70F31AA6-75F4-4C81-A7FB-46FDBABA900A_zpsv2dnz9tt.jpg photo DE9989C8-FEDF-4A16-ADF0-30BDB417A6AD_zpswwfx7ttc.jpg photo 90AD85DE-76F9-4962-A675-AB32F9D30687_zpsq8cu13eh.jpg photo 2F4737D3-6B6C-4C11-8771-37F905246B90_zps9oqupztu.jpg photo 926ABB11-D3E8-4738-9AF4-56A7DD627B78_zps9lchgdsa.jpg photo 2913C8A5-7994-4527-A85D-FB8095682656_zpslfphlt3e.jpg photo F3CEBA20-73AC-40F8-94CF-207320FF09A7_zpswyhoswh3.jpg photo C67505D0-C498-4A74-AC6F-E83C29AAED6A_zpsnbsdvubj.jpg photo 70241879-866E-40B4-A061-634AEEC02156_zpsssutxhxn.jpg photo B95D083A-4B8A-4F0D-9989-B27031188E84_zpsovnwdykt.jpg photo 06C9365E-05F0-4040-B989-EB905165F813_zpsekfisjhu.jpg photo 18A22258-7CC5-449F-95E2-95F29776AC1E_zpsltnueays.jpg photo F2786B6E-3EB1-4870-BC5C-DD16466AFFAD_zpso3xnuy46.jpg photo 9CDDA85F-69E6-4AB7-8663-E8DE9A37F5E7_zpsjcxg5rw6.jpg photo E9D1A574-E519-4BEC-AD3C-78AAFE807959_zpsd3f9bvpr.jpg photo 02F791EB-A757-46CF-8C9C-7768D3C83520_zpskdnowayj.jpg photo 3AF3B5EC-1CC1-4E7F-9B57-0AC56C220500_zpsyj8lqwtg.jpg photo 4D451BCD-AB92-43CF-8C41-F27A2603376A_zpsppglqldc.jpg photo 16C0D2E3-AA24-4686-8E5C-614CB42D8E37_zpsiwkrn3fu.jpg photo 78301C7A-8C5D-4679-8D56-2B1FA9AE82BE_zpswvyijxyf.jpg photo 45E55B17-B68F-43BC-B27F-69D558055FE4_zpscwpxwn4i.jpg photo 6F0F58E7-2504-4A3C-97FA-ECD028020109_zpswcxvrv6p.jpg photo 58E5C853-CA00-4F06-8E3B-90158D1B15DD_zpstddxc3cx.jpg photo 879AD513-50B1-4321-B44F-C886AE04BAD9_zpsjxkw9ll5.jpg photo 3ACFB557-1E1F-44AD-8008-D25BDF6DBBCB_zpswiogdoee.jpg photo AA5FE6D2-28A6-4E85-9268-B0F876C79AF1_zpsapd574cs.jpg photo B2151212-B944-4749-83A1-AFDCB7DF3157_zpsj0k376ao.jpg photo 5E064A83-D342-4C8D-969B-0F9B7C867CD5_zpssr7w1qhs.jpg photo F8580B87-662C-4D0F-9F83-31DABB0EF07C_zpswbwmqs5d.jpg photo 6BD0EE2D-0BBC-427F-ACC5-F9CDFEE3F595_zpszoonpbhm.jpg photo 03C5CACE-7863-487F-B469-D9827A8B698F_zpsr28cdld7.jpg photo 52C3CF37-C8F4-40DC-9758-8562293AD9B2_zpsk3a29zrj.jpg photo 2F5D457C-4114-4BD9-ADBB-87322AE054AD_zps0h5f7uso.jpg photo 1DA61D4A-BB1F-4C30-80EA-8DC6A31B3DBE_zpsw3tctzul.jpg

Smaller Cars Endure Big Problems On Crash Test

Wed, Jan 22 2014

In a crash test of 11 of the smallest cars on the market, only one vehicle received an acceptable rating. The rest received marginal or poor ratings in the study, providing evidence that supports a widely held notion that smaller cars are among the least safe on the road. No other vehicle group has performed as poorly on a new crash test than these mini cars, says the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the nonprofit group that conducted the testing. The latest results of which were released Wednesday. The Chevrolet Spark was the only car earning an overall "acceptable" rating on the small-front overlap test, and even that vehicle had its shortcomings, IIHS said. "Small lightweight vehicles have an inherent safety disadvantage," said Joe Nolan, the senior vice president for vehicle research at IIHS. "That's why it's even more important to choose one with the best occupant protection. Unfortunately, as a group, minicars aren't performing as well as other vehicle categories." The Mazda2, Kia Rio, Toyota Yaris and certain Ford Fiesta models all received "marginal" overall grades on the test, while the Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Versa, Toyota Prius C, Hyundai Accent, Fiat 500 and Honda Fit all earned "poor" ratings. Results from these sub-compact cars fare much worse than vehicles sized just a little bit bigger, IIHS said. Among 17 cars evaluated in the small category, five earned "good" ratings and five more earned "acceptable." Only introduced a year ago, the small-front overlap test has quickly become a key indicator of differences in automotive safety. IIHS introduced it as a way to replicate what happens when the front corner of a vehicle collides with a tree or utility pole at 40 miles per hour. In the real world, these sorts of accidents are more dangerous than others, in part because they bypass the front-end crush zones on most cars. Without a grade of acceptable or better, they cannot qualify for the IIHS' overall Top Safety Pick+ honor, given annually to the safest models on the market.

Before Chevrolet's Redline, there was the Saturn Red Line

Thu, Feb 9 2017

While Chevy rolls out Redline special editions across more of the lineup at this year's Chicago Auto Show, we've been eating some 'member berries and started thinking about the last time GM used the term. Back in 2004, Saturn rolled out Red Line (two words) editions of the Ion and Vue. The lineup was joined by the Sky Red Line in 2007, and the second-generation Vue kept the tradition going in 2008. This was in the heady days of the mid-2000s, before the financial crisis and GM's bankruptcy reorganization that saw the end of Saturn. The press release headline for the 2008 Sky is now cringe-worthy: "Hot-selling Sky helps drive Saturn product renaissance." Performance lineups were the hot new thing, as automakers attempted to cash in on the tuner trend popularized by The Fast and the Furious. Chevy had SS models, Pontiac had GXP, and Saturn had Red Line. Across the Detroit Metro area, Dodge had a slew of SRT models, and Ford's Special Vehicle Team brought us the SVT Lightning pickup, the SVT Focus, and a smattering of hopped-up Mustangs. The performance cred of Red Line models varied from car to car. The Ion Red Line shared the same engine as the original Chevy Cobalt SS, a 205-horsepower supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 65 hp more than stock. Car and Driver tested one with a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.1 seconds and said the Ion "tears down the wall that has separated enthusiasts from the Saturn brand for so long." The Vue Red Line, meanwhile, came with the same optional Honda-sourced 3.5-liter V6 you could get in the regular Vue, and added a stiffer, lower suspension, bigger wheels with more aggressive rubber, and recalibrated steering assist. When the Vue was redesigned for the 2008 model year, the Vue Red Line was a similar proposition. The engine was now from GM, and up 7 horsepower to 257, but you could get it in both Red Line and XE trim. Aside from the tire and suspension upgrades, Red Line models now came with a unique front fascia and rear exhaust cutouts. The most exciting Red Line, of course, was the high-performance version of the Sky roadster, which shared underpinnings with its Pontiac Solstice twin. This model came with GM's hot 2.0-liter Ecotec Turbo, good for 260 horsepower. The extra power was crucial in covering up the Sky's unfortunate manual gearbox ratios, which left the non-turbo model aching for torque in lower gears. As we all know, Saturn was taken by the grim reaper in 2009 after an attempt to sell the brand to the Penske Group.

2018 Hyundai Accent vs subcompact sedans: How it compares on paper

Fri, Sep 29 2017

Hyundai first revealed the new 2018 Hyundai Accent a few months ago, but that debut was in Canada for the Canadian-market car. We didn't get our look at the U.S. version until just recently, which is when we also finally got plenty of specifications on the little car. So as we did with the Genesis G70, we've brought you a breakdown of the Accent's specs and some of the segment's best and most popular: the Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, Chevrolet Sonic and Toyota Yaris iA. Before we get to the chart, let's give you a quick reintroduction to the 2018 Accent. The subcompact is completely new this year, and under the hood is again a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 7 fewer horsepower and 4 fewer pound-feet of torque than the outgoing model with totals of 130 horsepower and 119 pound-feet. This drop in power probably won't be noticeable, though. It's also available with either a manual or automatic transmission, both featuring six speeds. Fuel economy hasn't been announced, but the Rio's numbers below are probably a good indicator as they share powertrains. The one thing that isn't available with an Accent is a hatchback. According to Autoweek, the hatchback was canned with the assumption that hatch buyers would simply purchase an example of the upcoming Kona crossover. But if you want a traditional subcompact hatch from South Korea, Kia is happy to oblige, as the Rio is still available as a hatchback. Learning that the Kona may have killed the Accent hatch causes us to wonder if Kia brought the Rio hatch to the U.S. because it wasn't planning on offering the Stonic.
