Nice original interior. All original body panels and paint, no filler anywhere on the truck. Starts, runs, drives and stops great."

Truck was originally used in the State of Washington as a US Department of Agriculture vehicle.  The outline of the original letter can still be seen in the patina on both doors.  The truck is very straight and rust free.  All original sheet metal and floors with no rot.   Cab corners, rocker panels, floors, outer/inner fenders all solid.

The truck originally had a 250 straight six with a three speed column shift transition.  Motor and were replaced by previous owner.  Motor appears to be an older GM Goodwrench crate motor.  Trans is a TH-350.  Steering column was replaced with a tilt column out of a newer truck.  Gear selector was originally meant for a O/D trans and should work great for a future LS/4l60e swap.  I had a new Edelbrock 650 four barrel carb installed with an electric choke to improve starting and drive-ability.  Starts right up and idles great with the electric choke.  Throttle and kick-down linkage are work great to make this a great driving truck.

Professionally lowered 3/5 with drop spindles and flip kit.  All steering and suspension parts in the front are in good working order.  Truck steers and stops great.  Wheels are 15" GM rallies with trim rings, Tires are in good shape.

Interior is all stock with original rubber floor liner.  Original seat was replace with a bench seat from a '91 Chevy Cheyenne.  Original seat was replace due to a tear in the driver's side and to allow more leg room.  The newer style bench sheet has a narrower back, providing about 2" more leg and head room in the truck.  Seat mounted on factory brackets, retaining full slide rail motion.  All lights and switches are in good working order.  Dash is cracked and original radio has been removed, although the metal dash is in good condition and has not been cut.

Bidders with negative feedback or lower than 10 may be canceled at seller's desecration.  If you total total feedback is lower than 10, contact before bidding.  Seller reserves the right to end the auction early, as the vehicle is for sale locally.

2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 13 2016

AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
