Up for sale is my 1976 Chevy C10 flatbed. It has a really nice custom dash (see pics). The truck is street legal and has current tags. We used it as a weekend truck and also in some military simulation games. This is why I have the box on the bed. It is removable in about 10 minutes. It needs either new plywood or Rhino lining might take care of the water damage. The frame work is still in good shape.

Last weekend on our way to an operation, the motor blew. At first I thought it threw a rod, but the more I think about it a piston may have come apart. Either way the valves sound bent and it is dumping oil. I had a wrecker bring it to the house and here it sits. I do not have the time to put a motor in it. When I got the truck the motor supposedly had 20k miles on it. It sounded great with no ticks. I am not sure if this motor is rebuild-able. We did redo the wiring and it is simplified so it should be an easy swap if you have a motor laying around.

Truck will need to be towed away. Motor will turn over, and is not locked up but it will not make it far. Make arrangements to haul it away.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Not many people can say that their car directly motivated them into a career, but that's exactly the case for Adam Martin and his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that he calls Lucy.
