1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super C10

Short bed Fleetside. Body is very straight (ZERO RUST). It has never left South Carolina.
Rockers and cab corners are perfect. Frame and underneath are super clean.
Paint is good other than clear coat peeling off of roof.
The hood was just replaced with a good, straight, non after market, rust free one; due to flawed design of the original (creasing).

Interior is clean with no cracks or tears. Dash is good. All gauges and lights work. Heat works great. A/C turns on but blows warm.

A/C is all there intact and works. Has never been retrofitted for new freon.

Engine is a 350 four bolt main with a mild cam. Edlebrock performer intake and Edlebrock performer 600 carb. Has electronic ignition.
Have had valve covers and intake off of engine and the inside is very clean.
It does not smoke or burn oil and holds 40 psi oil pressure.
It has a newly replaced radiator and cooling system was recently flushed.
Has dual exhaust.

350 turbo transmission has a mild shift kit and performs great.
Recent filter and fluid change.

Front suspension and brakes have been checked out and are in good working condition.
Front end has been lowered with 3" CPP lowering springs and has new shocks.

Rear suspension has been lowered with a Bell Tech flip kit and also has air shocks in the rear.

Rides on 7x15 and 8x15 truck rallies with 235/60/15 and 275/60/15.

Appears to have been set up for towing at some point. It has a reese hitch and electric towing brakes.

This truck runs and drives great. Daily driver for over 6 months with no problems.

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS

Thu, Jan 29 2015

Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
