The exterior is believed to have been refinished in its factory Ochre and white (463) in the mid-2000s, and features include a body-color hard bed cover, a spray-in bedliner, woodgrain side and tailgate moldings, chrome front and rear bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a sliding rear window.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels with polished beauty rings are mounted with 33×12.5″ Hankook Dynapro AT M tires that were reportedly installed under current ownership. The front axle is fitted with manually locking hubs, and additional equipment includes power steering as well as power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums. The seller reports that the leaf spring bushings and other front suspension and steering components were replaced under current ownership.
The truck is equipped with the Cheyenne Super equipment package, which specified a bench seat upholstered in Parchment vinyl with houndstooth inserts, a padded dashboard, and black carpeting along with door panels accented by woodgrain trim. Additional features include air conditioning, a locking glove compartment, lap belts, front vent windows, and a reproduction AM/FM stereo radio with Bluetooth connectivity.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer along with gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.
The 350ci V8 features an orange-finished block and valve covers along with an Edelbrock carburetor. Recent work is said to have included a fluid service and replacement of various belts and hoses.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado diesels finally heading to dealers
Fri, Jan 1 2016Customers who have been waiting to receive their diesel-powered Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons should be relived to hear that GM will finally start to ship them out of the Wentzville Assembly Plant. "The highly anticipated 2016 GMC Canyon diesel has begun shipping to dealers," a company spokesperson confirmed to The Detroit News. The trucks originally had a fall launch date, but a final review forced a delay in deliveries. The 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel in the midsize trucks produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the company touts the engine's low emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board even put the mill through extra scrutiny with a real world test in the wake of VW's diesel scandal, and the Duramax passed with no problems. At that time, a Chevy spokesperson told Autoblog that the models' launch was on track. The Duramax engine adds $3,730 to the price of a comparable V6 model, but they're the most fuel-efficient pickups on the market. The EPA estimates the twins at 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined in two-wheel drive form and 29/20/23 with four-wheel drive. Buyers likely can't wait to finally experience these pickups after reading a heap of positive reviews. The Colorado diesel recently earned Motor Trend's Truck of the Year award.
