The exterior finish of the vehicle is brilliant. It is obvious that full attention has been paid to all details of the re-finish. The paint applied was Dupont Imron, level 5 single stage. The Chrome moldings have been replaced and properly installed. The engine compartment is 100%, with attention paid to every detail to bring it back to it’s original condition. The underside of the body is very clean. The cab supports and floor pans are as they should be. The rocker panels have been replaced some time in the past and have been welded at the seam. The inner kick panels have been replaced with the seam missing. The entire interior has been taken apart, brilliantly repainted, and professionally re-assembled. The seat cover has been replaced with an original factory style cover. The carpet has been replaced with original style 80/20 loop . The factory AM radio has been replaced with a Custom Auto Sound AM/FM in dash replacement. I still have the Original Radio and it goes with it. All controls and gages are to spec and work as they should. The headliner has been replaced with the correct replacement, using new outer trim and screws. The suspension is stock with stock rubber bushings, some showing slight wear. The cab support bushings are stock and in average condition. It is My professional opinion; that in the current condition, this vehicle would be judged at a 96 out of 100 on the show/ restoration scale. Bringing a vehicle to this condition is very expensive as well as rare to see it done this professionally. It Sleeps in a Storage unit where it only comes out to go to local car shows. Where as I have only been to a handful of shows I do have the trophies to prove that it was there; I had told myself that I would never sell this and I know that I am going to regret it; As I have a family and have responsibility towards them. You will not regret buying this one. She is show ready, there is not a thing that has to be done to it. It was professionaly painted and wet sanded to get the orange peel out. That was not cheap. The value keeps going up on these trucks everytime you turn around. She starts right up the first time every time. This truck is an all matching numbers truck. The Color is matched to that of the original paint codes. Everything is clean and attention was paid to every detail to bring it back to it's original condition. Bar none this is a beautiful truck. This truck is very prestine. You can get in it and drive away or haul it your choice Ive put around 300 to 400 miles on it since the restoration. Runs perfect and drives perfect. Ice Cold AC All new hoses under the dash as well. Ive got a lot more into this truck than what I am asking for. The paint is flawless. Dark olive green and white. Trust me it cost me more to keep everything original. You wont find another one like it. I keep getting told at the car shows that Ive got an unmolested truck and it is beautiful, its one of a kind and very very very rare to find in this condition. Ive been told I should try to get more out of it at a collectors auction, but I dont have the time or the money to get it there. If you have any questions feel free to call me. 479-409-8446 97921 actual miles. No Leaks and no rust no dents or dings, runs perfect This was taken down to bare metal during the restoration. In the bed, in the cab, on the frame and entire body. Professionally Primed with the higher end of primer its the one that wont let any rust happen, and then professionaly painted as well. Again, this is the cleanest and most well done truck out there on the market that I know of. Its an unmolested truck!!! You won't find one with a smoother looking bed than this one, there are so many out there that have covered the bed up to hide stufff. This one didn't need it. Shes all original. This truck was professionaly appraised and is worth more than my reserve.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines
Thu, 13 Dec 2012General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.
Meet Alex Archer, the engineer behind GM's power-sliding center console
Sat, Feb 15 2020In 2009, a GM manager complained to a 59-year-old GM technician about the hassle of retrieving items from a pickup truck bed after driving shifted the cargo. In two days, the tech had come up with the ideas that, ten years later, would debut as the MultiPro tailgate. The engineering teams kept the tailgate secret in part by hiding mock-ups in a locked storage closet in GM's Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren Michigan for two years. A piece in the Detroit Free Press reveals that another storage closet in Warren would play the same role in a different cloak-and-dagger operation, this time for the power-sliding center console in GM's new full-sized SUVs. During a meeting in early 2017, bosses gave the job of the console's creation to 24-year-old design release engineer Alex Archer, just two years out of Stanford University with a degree in engineering and product design. This time, the catalyst for the feature was an internal GM think tank called co:lab, where employees suggest ideas. Execs gave Archer the task because "They needed someone willing to ask a lot of questions," her 36-month mandate to produce a six-way console that could be a standard cubby or a gaping maw able to swallow four gallon jugs or hide a secret compartment. Clearly, she succeeded. It took Archer and the team nine months to devise a prototype, another six months to get the green light for production. As with the tailgate, the team working on the console grew to include designers, production engineers, and suppliers. Archer, now 26, shepherded the process, and her name is on the patent. "It took a ton of people, I'm just somebody who stuck with it the whole time," she said. GM like her work well enough to produce the "Day in the Life" segment above, five months before the world would hear about the console. Archer's path to engineering was as unlikely as getting the job for the console. She had entered Stanford with plans to be a doctor. But an innovation class during her freshman year, and a sophomore summer spent helping her grandfather rebuild a 1937 MG engine recharted her course. Her grandfather told her, "You know, you could be an engineer for a car company." Consumer reaction to Archer's work won't be far off, the SUVs slated to hit dealerships soon. Meanwhile, she's busy on something that could be just as intense as the console: Restoring a 1955 Packard Clipper in her garage. Head to Freep to check out the story of Archer and the console. General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
