hi
california truck and title and registration.
purchased this truck while still living in florida about 5 months ago with intentions of having a few upgrades done-then using for daily driver once i moved to california-had truck in storage during this time-in CA. now i have moved to CA but without my previous job-career change-vehicle change.
truck currently sits in my covered parking garage bc registration date has run out. i have not titled or registered to my name-no reason to if I'm selling and no CA DL yet. i have however drove the truck about 12 times before registration ran out. sounds amazing-deep and throaty. runs 70 down highway wo issue. previous owner told me no mechanical issues and i haven't found any.
overall very solid truck and relatively unmolested-that i can see.

heres what i know is bad:
windshield crack
driver side window needs crank knob
radio-has factory radio and a modern digital/radio/cd in glove but either i don't know how to work it or its not hooked up
quarter size rust spot on bottom outside of drivers side door---this is the only rust i have found or know of
interior light needs a new lens and a bulb or wire not sure
the hood is a little off-just barely enough to notice-not sure if easy adjustment or if its more work-i can't see any evidence that truck has ever been wrecked
bench seat is not bolted to floor-but doesn't move when driving-previous owner replaced carpet w new black carpet but didn't finish bolting
there is a rip in bench seat
steering wheel missing horn center cap-which I'm not sure-could be reason why horn not working
exterior paint is not shiny or perfect-and has some white paint drops in various spots around truck-maybe truck was a part time painters truck? it has a very good looking matte/antique/weathered looking green paint that appears factory-i bought specifically for this look and had no intentions of changing it. i was however going to have a body shop wet sand the white paint marks off the green that would just add a little more character to paint in the process-but didn't get a chance to have anything changed.

i think thats all-easy little stuff-nothing that worried me when i was shopping.

the good:
like i said-looks to me like very little molestation
very factory and original
very solid body
very solid mechanically
issues are small and manageable
there is also a hard fiberglass bed cover that locks-kind of cool-can keep or take off-no big deal
oh and i have a book of receipts-paperwork-service records about an inch thick from years past

truck is super cool cruising around town-needs an owner that will appreciate this and give it the time needed to make it even better.
THE LAST PICTURE IS NOT THIS TRUCK-ITS WHAT THIS TRUCK COULD BE-I WAS GOING TO HAVE MADE INTO THIS-ITS SAME MODEL AND YEAR

please ask questions or come see in person-or i can send specific pics.
ill have to say this was going to be my first classic truck and i will readily admit that I'm no pro or mechanic-so do any inspections you want---no warranties and no refunds please.
i could drive to shipper for you if needed-for example if international shipping was needed.
and i would recommend uship.com for shipping in states-may save up to $600 depending where you are?
thank you

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures

Tue, Jun 23 2020

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski  Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown

Wed, Jan 29 2014

They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you.
