1970 Chevrolet C10 - Longbed – Upgraded A/C – Solid – Rust Free You are bidding on an absolutely gorgeous, rust free Chevy Pickup with numerous dollars invested in its 10-plus year old restoration. The previous owner invested a lot of time and money in this truck and won numerous casual car shows in the early 00’s. Unfortunately, health issues has brought this truck to the market. This longbed is an absolute head turner from its gorgeous two-tone paint, to its custom hounds-tooth interior. Although it has an older restoration, the paint still shows glossy and beautifully. The overall cosmetics are still very good overall. Some of the trim pieces are starting to look dated including the side bumper strips (slight-peeling), and the front grill liner (hazy). The interior is in excellent condition. The seats, interior paint, gauges, and windows all show excellent. The black carpeting does have sun fading which I’ve included photographs of. Also, the interior door trim shows some scuffing on the armrest (mostly on the driver’s side). On most cars and trucks, the underbody speaks very highly of the true condition of the car. The underbody on this C10 is very clean and solid. I’ve included numerous photos to help portray its excellent condition. Mechanically, this truck runs, drives, and idles beautifully. I’ve included a video of this. The power steering and braking are an absolute breeze to operate and preform flawlessly. The suspension is still strong and tight. The tires are newer with a lot of tread. The upgraded air conditioning blows ice cold and all the electrical (including the radio) work just fine. I also just put in a brand new battery. Under the hood, this Chevy sports a strong 350 CID engine with upgraded components including hooker headers and is dressed up nicely but not too “showey”. The engine compartment looks good overall but would definitely benefit from a professional detailing. Other points to mention: The truck spent the latter end of last summer (about two months) outside, and consequently, there is some hardened sap on the paint of the back/back right side of the truck that I personally haven’t had the time to remove properly. Also, the vinyl bedliner could use a full-out cleaning. (There is some black speckling on it from being in the rain). The front right wheel-well chrome has a small crease in the chrome insert and could probably be “re-set”, if not replaced very inexpensively. Also, there is a nick on the front right side bumper strip (shown in photos) As mentioned above, this truck has an older restoration but still shows beautifully. Other than a few minor details, this Chevy shows a well-cared for ownership history.
About me: For the past few years I have invested in numerous solid, (usually targeting original) classic cars which I enjoy casually and then turn and sell. I like to have a different classic every year when the Woodward Dream Cruise rolls around in August. I have owned many Chevy’s in the past including two documented SS Chevelle’s and I’m always looking for something new!
Please don’t hesitate to send me an email with any questions you may have. Also, the truck is available for inspection and may be test-driven. If you would like to talk over the phone just send me your phone number and I will do my best to contact you/set up an appointment. Please have any questions answered or inspections preformed before making a bid! I require a $1000 deposit at the auction close and the remainder within 3 days. Thanks, and good luck on your bidding!

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head
Fri, Jan 30 2015"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
NHTSA approves hybrid rearview mirror display in Cadillac CT6, Bolt EV
Tue, Feb 23 2016The Chevy Bolt EV prototype doesn't just have a fancy new all-electric powertrain. Just outside the driver's line of sight is a newfangled rearview mirror, one that can turn into a screen that shows a moving image from the rear-facing camera. Speaking to NPR's Robert Siegel yesterday, Department of Transportation secretary Anthony Foxx said that NHTSA has now approved this type of mirror/screen for use in vehicles. According to a letter from NHTSA to General Motors, GM will likely use this Full Display Mirror first in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 before coming to the Bolt. In its letter to GM, NHTSA said that the Full Display Mirror will only qualify as a standard rearview mirror as long as there are normal side mirrors in place. In other words, don't expect to see cameras and screens replacing all the mirrors in a motor vehicle just yet. @AutoblogGreen @NPR - #NHTSA has OK'd GM rear-view system that can switch between mirror & camera views. pic.twitter.com/6CBeIit10v — Anthony Foxx (@SecretaryFoxx) February 22, 2016 The Full Display Mirror was developed by Gentex, which has long worked with GM. The FDM debuted in 2014 and some people hoped it would also make its way into the Tesla Model X. Gentex, which also makes auto-dimming mirrors, says that it has "set out to develop the technologies and core competencies necessary to manage this evolution of the rearview mirror." The Chevy Bolt EV will start at $37,500, before incentives. The 200-mile EV will go into production late this year for likely sale in early 2017. Related Video:
