I am selling my 1970 Chevy K10 pickup. It listed as a C10 because they didn't have a K10 option, but this truck has 4 wheel drive. This truck is in great shape, and runs and drives really well. I have owned it for about a year now, and before that a friend of mine owned it since 1997, so I've been around this truck for a long time! The truck has a 350 motor that was rebuilt in 2003, at that time we put an edelbrock intake and carb on it along with a small rv cam. I tried to buy this truck a couple times over the years with no success, but last year I got it and I took it in to the body shop and they put new rockers and cab corners on it and then painted it blue inside and out, I had them do the top of the cab white and then a stripe to set it apart on the rear. I picked the truck up from the paint shop last September and then had a complete new interior put in it, new carpet, chrome seal plates, new customer door panels, new arm rests, new custom pattern seat, and a new dash. The truck really looks nice and gets a lot of attention when your out driving it. I also had a custom color charcoal metallic bedliner sprayed in the bed to match the interior colors. I also had a new windshield and seal installed after it was painted, and installed a brand new chrome front bumper and new chrome headlight buckets too. The grill is in good shape but there is two dents up by the top center where you pop the hood open. Everything on the truck works great, the heater, lights, blinkers, gauges, ect..  I just recently had the tranny and transfer case resealed they were starting to weep a little. The exhaust sounds really tough, it has glass packs on it and comes out right behind the cab, I like the sound of it but you could swap out for mufflers if you wanted something quieter. This is a very nice truck but is a 44 year old truck so its not perfect, the power steering leaks a little bit, the truck could use new trim logos on the fenders, basically just small stuff. The paint on the truck looks really nice but it's not show quality, when I had the work done they bid me ten grand to make it show quality or they said for five grand they could do a really nice paint job that would stand out and look good but not cost near as much so that is the route I went, I was happy with my choice I get compliments on it all the time. Overall this is a very nice truck that runs and drives well and looks good doing it. Email, call, or text with any questions. 208-589-9783 Thanks John

Chevy Cruze CNG available from Crazy Diamond Performance

Thu, Aug 7 2014

Anyone out there who can somehow find a second way to link Pink Floyd to natural gas vehicles gets a prize. Because so far, we have one Michigan-based company called Crazy Diamond Performance (Shine On You Crazy Diamond being a longtime Floyd fave) that's setting out to convert Chevrolet Cruze vehicles to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). All in the name of cheaper fuel and domestic security, of course. Crazy Diamond says it can offer a converted CNG-powered Chevy Cruze for a price as low as $26,000. That four-cylinder version has 130 horsepower and an 8.5-gasoline-gallon-equivalent capacity that provides a full-tank range of as many as 250 miles. Pony up another $2,000 or so and the peppier, turbocharged CNG Cruze can be yours. The company says it will provide a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and is trying to get EPA certification for its conversions. The selling points are cheaper fuel (CNG is about half the cost of regular gasoline in some parts of the country) and homeland security (CNG reduces dependence on foreign oil). The only production passenger vehicle CNG in the US is the Honda Civic CNG, which sells in very limited numbers. Check out Crazy Diamond's flyer here. Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

Chevrolet Cruze EV - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.

Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.
