1970 Bagged Custom C10 Hotrod Pickup Air Ride Show Truck Chevy on 2040-cars
Mechanicsville, Virginia, United States
What you are looking at is an awesome example of what a barn find truck might look like without worrying about all the rust and rot! This 1970 C10 pickup features insanely realistic faux patina paint all over. However, the truck is SUPER clean and has no rust or rot. Very nicely built truck that you can get in and drive anywhere. As a matter of fact the previous owner drove the truck from Louisville to NC without any issues at all. Truck is clean and needs nothing. Truck has factory AC/Heat that work extremely well to the point that they will run you out of the truck. All lights, gauges and everything else work as they should. Glass is in terrific shape and rolls up and down with all new rubber. Sliding rear glass. Wipers, power steering and so much more. Here is a rundown of the sweet truck:
Air Ride front and back for an awesome stance and great ride quality, 1 VIAIR compressor and 3 gallon tank mounted under bed in the rear Power Steering Ice Cold AC and Hot Heat and defrost New Glass/Rubber New BFG 15" tires all around with 15" smoothies and bullet center caps New Interior with new carpet, redone seat, door panels and repainted cab with working 8-track player and Boston Acoustic Speakers Custom Chrome Steering Wheel All new Chrome Trim and Handles inside Automatic transmission that was rebuilt the same time as the SBC motor that features a nice sounding cam Dual Flowmasters (TRUCK SOUNDS REALLY MEAN) Doors, hood and tailgate are all very functional with no issues New door latches Powered Drum brakes all around that stop very strongly Smooth tailgate and rollpan Custom Faux Patina paintjob Again this truck is built to look cool but also to drive and enjoy. This truck looks awesome as it is but imagine it with big smoothies and sitting flat on the ground! The bedfloor is in great shape and can be used to haul whatever you want it to. Everything is functional on this truck. It is basically a new truck built to look old. The motor is just as nice and clean as it was when these trucks left the dealer. Even has little markings on the motor to mock the dealers. Fly in and drive this truck home. It comes with a clean and clear title and would make a great toy for anyone. It could even be used as a daily driver. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the truck is advertised locally. The truck comes with NO warranty, but you can rest easily knowing there is nothing to hide on this great truck. Please look at all the photos and pay attention to all the detail in this truck. Please let me know if you have any questions and good luck bidding. A deposit of $1000 will be due as soon as the auction ends. the reserve for this truck is very fair so don't hesitate and miss out on this great chance to own a one-of-a-kind pickup. I am more than happy to help the buyer with shipping, but they are responsible for all shipping fees. I will hold the truck for up to 3 weeks after the auction if needed. Truck will not ship until all funds are received. |

Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady gives Chevy Colorado to Malcolm Butler [w/poll]
Tue, Feb 3 2015Winning the Super Bowl, we'd imagine, is pretty sweet. Winning the MVP award at the Super Bowl, even more so – for many reasons, among them that you get a brand new Chevy Colorado, packed full of, you know... technology and stuff. Of course this year's Most Valuable Player was none other than Tom Brady, the New England Patriots quaterback who was crowned Super Bowl MVP for the third time and lead the Pats to win the Super Bowl for the fourth time. He makes tens of millions every season, and Mrs. Brady (a.k.a. Gisele Bundchen) probably makes an extraordinarily pretty penny herself. So what does one of the most successful and wealthy players in NFL history need with a new pickup truck? Not a whole lot, apparently: the Boston Business Journal reports that he gave the truck to Malcolm Butler, the rookie cornerback who intercepted Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson's pass on the Patriots' one-yard line with only twenty seconds to go and sealed the victory for New England. Which strikes us as a fitting gesture, even if Brady did keep the MVP trophy for himself. Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?
Sun, Jul 9 2023The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric. Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands. If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla. Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor. Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have: Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.
Train derailment leaves Jeep, GMC, Chevy pickups damaged in Nevada
Thu, Jul 11 2019An unfortunate train derailment is causing some inevitable delays for pickup truck customers west of Nevada. Yesterday morning, 33 train cars derailed in Lincoln County, and the cargo that was being transported consisted of new Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers along with Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierras, judging from the photos released by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The train derailment also caused the adjacent road to be closed, and local law enforcement recommends the area is to be avoided as long as it takes to clean it all up. In the photos, damaged Jeeps and other trucks sit either on their wheels or shiny-side-down as the incident is being assessed. Available information says there were thankfully no personal injuries, but itÂ’s not likely any of these trucks will end up in customer hands, even with a significant discount. Pre-registration transport damage, significant or not, has often resulted in scrapping complete vehicles so that manufacturers can steer clear of liability issues. Hooniverse.com, which also reported on the incident, notes a couple of interesting things. Firstly, the upended Gladiator seems to have a pretty sturdy support structure for its glasshouse, thanks to its new rollbars. Another matter is that the GM trucks, also pictured, wear discreet and temporary transport steel wheels instead of fancier items, perhaps to deter thieves eager to grab a shiny set from trucks on their way to the dealer. Still, itÂ’s a shame these vehicles could never fulfill their hauling purposes in the hands of new owners. Perhaps the manufacturers can at least use the damage for data-gathering purposes.
