1969 Chevrolet C10 Factory Short Bed. Body and frame are Rust Free !
Only surface rust and normal discoloration underneath. The cab was
Pulled off the Frame, the whole truck was stripped down to bare metal,
then primed painted (inside and out original color) and
the cab was set back down on the frame with NEW mounts. Even though the
bed has a very thin layer of roll in bed liner on it, The bed is also
rust free with some dents an dings.
This is a nice driver quality but not really ready as a show truck. Driver door needs some adjusting to improve lines, the paint is fresh but it is about a 5-10 footer with some minor imperfections and blemishes. The tail gate has dents and dings and could use some attention but again, a good driver quality. Needs some window crank knobs. New parts include, Dash, carpet, rubber
door seals, and weather stripping, new windshield, dual exhaust and
relatively New 15” rims and BFG tires were installed but did not do a
front end
alignment at the time so it might need one. The truck runs and drives
nice but I would look it over as it
probably could use some new hardware (maybe some bushings, joints
etc). The odometer reads around 4264 but I'm sure that's not original. The truck is equipped with a rebuilt 4
bolt main, 350 (casting # 3970010) with headers. It was a factory floor
shift manual transmission that has been changed to a 5 speed from a
Camaro. Both the motor and the clutch were rebuilt less than 1 year ago
and have very low miles. It also has a 3:55 posit-traction rear, Front
Power Disc Brakes, and
Power Steering. All gauges, wipers
and lights are working, the original radio (not working at this
time). Please know that I have attempted to describe the truck accurately as possible but with any 40 + year old vehicle, there might be some things I can't see or didn't see. A Good looking truck being sold as is where is. |

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
