1967 67 Chevy Chevrolet C10 Hot Rod on 2040-cars

US $9,900.00
Year:1967 Mileage:250
Location:

- 1967 C10. Truck has had a LOT of work done to it. Hundreds of hours. My uncle, who owned a body shop for many years started the build. He became sick and stopped when it was @ 90% done. Truck sat for about 10 years. I bought it in 2013 and got it where it is now. Not completely done but I'm ready for something else. I've outgrown it I guess both mentally and physically. Truck has less than 200 miles since build. Ill try to list all the details. Tank was moved to rear of bed with custom enclosure. Cab was attached to bed for a unibody structure. Handles very well. Bed was lightened up by replacing with sheet metal and insides of bed was flushed with same metal. Custom metal roll pans front and rear. No rear tailgate. Custom spoiler that was made from metal, can stand on it. Super strong. Has rear window conversion with sliding rear window and even third brake/cargo light. Has emergency brake pedal that uses foot like 80s model Chevy. Had very little rust when done. All body work done right. My uncle never intended on selling.

Truck has well over $10k just in new parts on it. Doesnt include the hours and hours of body work, the 72 suspension upgrade and the cost of the truck itself.

The bad:
-truck was trimmed out to be done in red but not completed
-no horn
-door locks work but have to push on door. Prob needs new latch mechanisms
-slight air leak on drivers side door. Had all new rubber installed on doors and windows 10 years ago but looks like a little better job could have been done.
-no side mirrors
-passenger side window has light scratches from use over the years
-carpet although new, has a run in the middle from front to back
-ac system has not been charged yet
-ac/heater control broke and needs replaced. $94 from old air products
-unibody makes it a little rough on bumpy road.
-paint is rattle can flat black and not much to brag about. Was not painted to hide anything. It had different colors of primer, this was just to see if I liked the flat black look.
-needs a carb adjustment, runs perfect after you take off, very responsive in every gear, doesn't miss or hesitate at all but loads up a little on first taking off. There is not a good carb guy in our town.
-I planned on bedliner but have not put it on yet. Bed is dirty but no rust at all.

Might like a Black Ram Viper SRT10 Regular Cab.   Ill add some cash.

I will ship at buyers expense and arrangement.

Selling because I have lost interest. Nothing wrong with Truck.  You can call and have a local mechanic inspect in you would like. Lots more pics if you need any.

Camaro-based Trans Am SE Bandit Edition borrows Burt Reynolds

Tue, Mar 29 2016

For some reason, modifying modern Chevrolet Camaros into the lurching, reincarnated shells of the Pontiac brand is still a thing. If you're the perverse sort that likes this kind of thing, you should check out the latest product from the Trans Am Depot, which comes complete with an endorsement from the star of Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds. Yes, the new Trans Am SE Bandit Edition has been signed and endorsed by the man himself, but what's important here is not the signature on the dash, it's the bits of Camaro that have been modified. Aesthetically, that means a Bandit-and-Frog-approved set of T-tops, a front-opening hood with a very large, prominent shaker scoop, an equally large and prominent screaming chicken, and Trans Am-inspired front and rear fascias. And naturally, Burt Reynolds' signature adorns the dash. There are plenty of reminders in the cabin about this car's Hollywood inspiration, too. Bandit decals can be found on the front headrests and center console lid, there are chicken wings on the Camaro-spec plastic door inserts, and the black-and-tan color scheme matches nicely with the exterior look. And power? Well, Sheriff Buford T. Justice would have a lot more trouble keeping up with this Trans Am than he did with the original. The 7.4-liter LSX V8 has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger which is good for 840 horsepower. It's fast and loud, and even if you can't get behind the look (we can't), at least this Camaro-in-Trans Am's clothing can impress with its performance. The Bandit Edition is limited to just 77 units with prices starting around $115,000. You can check out the official video from Trans Am Depot, which comes with a decent helping of Burt Reynolds, up top. Related Video:

The Volt Dance had precedent; meet the Chevy Footlockers

Sun, Dec 14 2014

Marketing in the auto industry can get weird sometimes – really quite bizarre, in fact. For example, remember the Chevy Volt dance from the 2009 Los Angles Auto Show? If not, a group boogied to a song about the electric car, and it was every bit as awkward (and hilarious) as that sounds. In fact, that innocent bit of promotion lives in infamy, as some pundits grabbed hold of it during General Motors' bailout and asked why America's tax dollars were going to such things. The Chicago Auto Show has been digging through its vault of vintage videos, and it has come up with something that might actually be worse than that Volt-themed routine. They're called the Chevy Footlockers, and they're a dance troupe somehow promoting the Cavalier at the 1988 Chicago show. The connection between the car and their routine is unclear, but it's gloriously cheesy in a Chippendales-meets-AC Slater sort of way. Also, there are props towards the end, but we aren't going to spoil them for you, because you just have to watch for yourself. As a bonus, there's another (brief) clip below showing a female dance group with the Geo Tracker at the '91 Chicago show, and they sing, too. Scroll down to watch both of these oddities. GM's MPG overstatement could affect 2 million vehicles

Tue, May 17 2016

Late last week, GM admitted that three of its large SUVs fuel economy window stickers did not match their actual efficiency ratings, and so the vehicles couldn't be sold. The stickers on the 2016 Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave said their ratings were one to two miles per gallon better than they should have been. Officially, the number of affected vehicles sits at about 60,000. But Consumer Reports makes a good point: what's up with all of the previous model year SUVs that are basically the same vehicle? To wit: the 2016 model year vehicles are not substantially different than the 2015 or the 2014, or even going all the way back to 2007. On the EPA's fuel economy website, all of these older models will "have better stated fuel economy numbers than the new vehicles in GM's dealerships," Consumer Reports noted. CR's best point, and the one that makes the 60,000 number potentially grow to 2 million if all of the vehicles built on this platform are affected, is that "[i]t seems unlikely that the company would change the powertrain on these carryover models so late in their model cycles in a way that would cause a dramatic, negative impact on fuel economy." GM says that earlier model year SUVs are not affected and the EPA did not respond to CR's question about the potential for more discrepancies. We've seen automakers reverse course before, so if GM has to come out with a mea culpa soon, don't be surprised. GM is rushing corrected stickers to dealers so that the SUVs can be sold again, but a fix for the already-sold vehicles could be trickier to solve.
