You are looking at a daily driver, shop truck, head turning Rat Rod 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom Cab. The engine is a 327 SBC V8, which has been gone over and is a strong runner. New oil, good alternator, new battery, 2 barrel Rochester carburetor, great on gas. The original 3 speed on the column shifts well through all gears with good clutch, that said the bushings in the linkage are worn from years of driving. A Perfect Bike hauler!!! This half ton truck sits on 15” Radial Wide White Wall Tires with 6 lug Steelies and drum breaks in the front, 6 lug and drum in the rear. A lowered ride with LJ Wrangler lowering springs in the rear with shorty shocks. New Windshield. The rest of the glass is chip and crack free. Throaty exhaust that dumps out of the drivers side of the bed, sound great. Clean fuel tank, fuel lines. This "One of a Kind" Pick Up has many new and upgraded parts. Two tone Sea Foam Teal and White body has that as found look, while the roof has been recently painted with Rustoleum White. The interior is very comfortable. Stock dash. A Black bench seat freshly wrapped, good floor mat and small back window The body is straight overall. Great original stainless trim. It has patina, some dents and dings. Rust under the passenger brow on the Cab (see pics) That said the truck is SOLID!!! The bed has the original wood that is 90% there, functioning tailgate, original Barton Bumper. This is a California truck and has always been to the best of my knowledge, a daily driver with clear California title and real commercial Plates. Visible Vin and Body Tags. Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
