Up for grabs, fresh build 1966 Chevrolet C10 short bed Lambrecht Chevrolet tribute theme truck. This truck started life as an extremely solid California black plate short bed truck unit last year when I brought it to PA. The truck was disassembled and rebuilt over the last 5 months. I have tons of pictures of the build.

The truck has 4 way adjustable air ride suspension professionally installed and tested with no leaks. All new parts from Firestone, Air lift and Vair. New CPP C notch, CPP trac bar, CPP short shocks and relocators to correct the shock angles. The front suspension was gone through and all worn parts were replaced. Frame has been cleaned and painted in a semi gloss black.

The brake system was also gone through with new corvette style master cyl, adjustable proportion valve. All new brake lines, new rear brakes, wheel cyls, spring kit, and rear drums. New 2 1/2 inch drop spindels new front rotors, brakes, brake hoses, pads, wheel bearings and seals.

The interior is completely brand new, repainted in a nice shade of white. New seat cover, carpet, custom shifter boot. All new switches and knobs, glove box liner, dome light etc. You name it its new inside. Floor was also painted in semi gloss black and covered in dynamat. New firewall pad, all new factory wiring harness through out the truck. All lights work, turn signals, dash lights, dome light, signal indicators etc. All new door weatherstriping, window moldings and fuzzys. New door and window handles, door stops the list can just keep going on and on.

The body on the truck is extremely solid no rust in the factory bottoms of the fenders, doors or hood. Floors, floor braces, cab corners, inner and outer rockers are perfect or dam near. Only rust through on the truck is a very small spot in the drivers side door jamb by the still plate. I could have fixed it but wanted people to see how solid this truck is. The outside has its fair share of bumps bruises, dings and dents. In my opinion it has a perfect patina only mother nature can make and Iwouldn’t change a thing. The lettering on the truck is spot on and carefully distressed to look like it has been there for 40 years. New wood bed floor, strips, and hardware.

The truck runs out perfect and just completed a 500 mile round trip with no problems and got 20 miles to the gallon. The 250 6 cyl engine and engine bay was completely cleaned, detailed and painted. Just tuned up with all new items, rebuilt carb, new fuel line and filter. New alternator, radiator, coolant, new hoses, clamps etc. Like I said engine runs awesome and clutch and SM420 4spd trans works as it should.

I can not say enough good things about this truck. A ton of time and money was put into this truck over the last 5 months. So I know the truck inside & out. This is a good solid truck so please bid with confidence!!! I have a clean PA title in my name this is my personal truck and was not thrown together for a quick flip. Please feel free to call me at 412-969-3591 and I will be more then happy to answer your questions and describe the truck in full detail.

EcoCar2 is on the hunt for a better, cleaner Chevy Malibu [w/video]

Thu, Jun 12 2014

The students spent three years transforming an ordinary Chevy Malibu into a revolutionary vehicle. Not far from the building where General Motors once invented the Chevy Volt, a dozen or so college students are standing on the blacktop alongside a test track, watching a professional driver push the limits of a plug-in hybrid car they've built that's far more radical. These students, from Colorado State University, have spent the past three years transforming an ordinary Chevy Malibu into a revolutionary vehicle. At first glance, it still looks like a regular sedan. But under the hood, they've installed a hybrid powertrain that contains both hydrogen and electric power sources. Even by the standards of the Department of Energy competition they're participating in, it's an outlier. That's exactly what they had in mind. "We didn't want to come here and tell them how to build a better Volt," said Tom Bradley, faculty adviser for the Colorado State team. "They already know how to do that. We can tell them how to think about these possibilities in a whole new way." After three years of work, it all comes down to this. The Colorado State team was one of 15 that came to GM's Milford Proving Grounds last week for the final stretch of the EcoCar2 competition, which challenges regular college students who have no automotive experience to do nothing less than reinvent the American car. The teams have come from across North America, and include schools like Ohio State and Virginia Tech that have a long history of participating in similar competitions, and schools like the University of Washington and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University that are here for the first time. After three years of work, it all comes down to this. The teams have operated 24 hours a day for almost two weeks here at the Proving Grounds, running a gamut of tests that include a 310-point safety inspection, emissions and energy-consumption tests and road tests, in which professional GM drivers ensure they're road worthy. The winning team will be announced tonight in Washington D.C. Revolutionary cars, ordinary package While other green-car competitions encourage extreme designs, this one comes with a somewhat constraining twist: Yes, students must improve fuel economy and reduce emissions, but in the end, they still have to have a car that would appeal to mainstream customers. In practical terms, that means they must keep conveniences like air conditioning and trunk space.

Recharge Wrap-up: Tesla sells Model S 85 and 70D in Malaysia, Chevy Spark EV built using clean energy

Mon, May 18 2015

Tesla will send Model S 70D and Model S 85 EVs to Malaysia for leasing to government-linked companies. Only those companies will have access to the models as a two-year lease, which will be imported and leased by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation. The plan is part of an initiative by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to allow government officials and other influential people to get to know the electric vehicles and the benefits that come along with them. Most of the 120 vehicles available will be the 70D model, and the lessee companies will have the option to purchase the cars at the end of the two years. Read more from Paul Tan's Automotive News. Wanxiang is hosting students from Delaware in China as part of a program to learn Mandarin and visit schools and science and technology sites. Wanxiang, the auto parts company that acquired Fisker (which had manufacturing based in Delaware) and battery maker A123 Systems, will give the students tours of its solar technology facilities, among other places, and see what daily life is like for families in the region. The program helps students interested in science and technology to foster marketable skills — like learning a foreign language — that will help them get jobs in industries around the world. The e-motors building of the General Motors Baltimore Operations complex has a new rooftop solar array and uses LED and CFL lighting, helping the building recently earn LEED Silver certification. The landfill-free facility also takes advantage of the 1.23-megawatt solar array on the grounds, helping it source six percent its energy from renewable sources. The plant has reduced its energy intensity by 15.5 percent in three years, and continues to work toward reducing consumption and sourcing clean energy. "We believe reducing our environmental footprint is good for the climate and good for our business," says GM Executive Director of Global Public Policy Greg Martin. Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
