Hello,  I am listing a BEAUTIFUL 1965 Chevrolet Truck for a friend of mine that is a professional classic car/truck builder and also a professional certified mechanic that owns an automotive repair shop in Lakeside, Arizona. I have personally bought classic vehicles from this friend for many years and I take my classics to him when they need something. I have always been well pleased with his work, this is another fine example of his work.

This 1965 Chevy C10 Custom cab short bed truck is fresh off a complete frame off restoration. I watched him build this blue baby and everything was removed, sand blasted, painted and replaced with the correct and proper items! Every nut and bolt, everything was done correctly. IT WAS TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL AND THEN HE APPLIED SELF ETCHING PRIMER AS A BASE COAT! Every piece of rubber was replaced, the whole cab was insulated and then covered in custom fabric, custom upper and lower consoles were installed, he even installed a class 3 hitch and dual chrome tip exhaust tied to Flow Master mufflers. There is no rust whatsoever and no problem areas. No disappointments here, you will be pleased with this GORGEOUS two tone BLUE baby!

Here are some of the terrific new additions to an extremely popular classic truck!

90 miles since rebuild * new southern yellow pine wood bed * custom aluminum "engine turned design" polished dash and glove box door * 5.3 L Vortex fuel injected engine with the matching 4L60E tranny and 3:73 posi-traction rear with all new bearings, rings and pinion * new chassis wiring through out * Howell engine harness & PCM * 79 Chevy p/u front end with new rubber bushings * power steering * tilt steering wheel * cruise control * a/c & heat by Vintage air, sure fit * power disc brakes in front, drum breaks in rear * all new side chrome strips * all new bumpers and grill * new Brothers 20 gallon gas tank mounted in the rear * Drivers side electric suburban bucket seat and passenger suburban bucket seat * 3 point seat belts * sliding rear window * power/electric windows * 2 aux plugs in dash board * in-dash stereo with cd player * stock type 5 bolt rally wheels * all new and fresh custom two tone medium and light blue paint.

Is this '47 Chevrolet a rat rod or a sports car?

Sun, May 22 2016

These days there are plenty of vehicles that blur the conventional automotive class structures. For instance, was the Honda Crosstour a wagon or an SUV? And what exactly was the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet? Regardless, those line-blurring cars (or trucks) are out there, and though this one didn't roll off a production line, it's still quite the automotive head-scratcher. Hailing from Missouri, this epic creation is one part mad science experiment, one part 1947 Chevrolet pickup, and one part '95 Mercury Cougar. Add it all up and you get an awesome truck-sports-car hybrid, complete with an outrageous wing and a V8 to boot. And interestingly enough, it's up for sale . RELATED: Check out this Wild-Styled Lamborghini Rat Rod So how does it all come together? According to the listing, the Chevrolet truck cab (which had previously been chopped) was sanded down to bare metal and given a thorough shellacking of clear coat. It was then melded together with the front end of a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, and set low to the ground on Bilstein suspension drop spindles. Stance achieved. But instead of fielding an engine from either of those pickups, it pulls its heart from a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV—a big 5.3-liter V8 heart, that is. It comes backed-up to a GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Towards the rear however is where things get really interesting. A Copper Pearl coated tube frame chassis both attaches the rear independent suspension (a la Mercury Cougar) to the racy spoiler, as well as secures the rat rod's rear-mounted radiator, fan, and fuel tank. I'm not quite sure why, but it just looks glorious. RELATED: Reports Say Mid-Engine Corvette Will Arrive in 2018 Inside the vintage cab, the Chevrolet furthers its racing proclivities (it's said to have won burnout and auto-cross events) with a pair of harnessed racing seats, a drift brake, a detachable steering wheel, and a tachometer with oil and temperature gauges, but oddly no speedometer. The shifter is a crescent wrench. And its shift boot? That's a Crown Royal Purple bag. All in all, this grin-worthy Frankenstein creation tallies up bits and pieces from four different vehicles (five if you include the Camaro wheels), which make it truly a mash-up of epic proportions. Internet, what do you think? Related Video: This article by Zach Doell originally appeared on Boldride. Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
