I have for sale, a 1962 Chevy C10 Stepside PU Truck with a three on a tree transmission and a 235 3.9L 6 cylinder engine. Truck has a light blue exterior with white trim and gold interior. The truck is not yet a daily driver and I would not recommend driving it for long distances.Locally should be OK, because I do take it out for a spin once in a while. Just recently replaced the carburetor. Also replaced the main wiring harness and the under dash wiring harness. In the past year, I had a custom exhaust system put on and replaced all the locks in the vehicle. All door locks, ignition switch, and glove box operate with one key. A new floor mat was also replaced along with the front bed panel. The right, rear tire has also been replaced and is like new condition. I replaced the bed flooring and coated it with four coats of linseed oil and Thompson water sealer. Unfortunately, it took a while to install the bed and the flooring did warp but I have it securely assembled. It is a solid floor that looks decent and is usable. The rear bumper and bumper brackets are also missing.
It is an old truck with a lot of surface rust and some badly rusted spots. Floor board and spots on the fenders, to mention a few. The bad news is that when I replaced the wiring harness, The main one worked fine but I believe I had ordered the wrong harness. With that being said, because of it, the heater, wipers, and tail lights do not work. The horn, speedometer, and fuel gauges also do not work and wasn't working when I got it. Horn does work but when a previous owner replaced the steering wheel, they did not connect the horn.
As to why I am selling it after putting in so much cost and effort is because of my significant other. She is tired of looking at it and complains that I spent to much money on it already. I have other parts that I had purchased such as the window and vent glass and weather stripping. Also have the Front clip replacement part for the front of the hood. There are a few other various items I have that I didn't get around to installing yet. Those parts will be included only if the bidding exceeds $2200.
Check out the pictures and if there are any questions, feel free to ask. Anyone with less than 10 feedbacks needs to contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Don't ask what my minimum bid because that is where the bidding starts. After successfully winning the auction, the bidder must make a $500 dollar deposit with paypal within 48 hours after close of auction. Final payment due within seven days with either cash or a cashiers check. Purchaser must make arrangements to either pick up the vehicle to arrange delivery of the vehicle.

First-edition Detroit muscle raises millions for charity at Barrett-Jackson
Mon, Jan 19 2015Amidst all the classic metal crossing the auction block each year in Scottsdale, AZ, Detroit automakers have a tradition of donating the first examples of their most enticing new muscle cars, with the proceeds of their sales going towards worthwhile charities. This year, Barrett-Jackson handled three noteworthy examples. The highest price among them was the first Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang with the VIN #001, which raised $1 million for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. General Motors donated the first new Chevy Corvette Z06 Convertible, the first retail example of the droptop supercar garnering $800,000 for the United Way. Along with the Z06, GM also donated the first new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan, which brought in $170,000 for Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Although these were the headline Motown muscle machines furnished by the automakers themselves, they weren't the only vehicles auctioned off for worthy causes. A 1950 GM Futurliner bus donated by collector Ron Pratte led the charge when it brought in $4.65 million for the Armed Forces Foundation. Other lots included a custom Jeep Wrangler donated by SEMA ($85k), a new M5 donated by BMW ($800k), a '79 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst ($140k), '39 Cadillac LaSalle C-Hawk ($410k), Jeff Gordon's 1999 NASCAR-spec Chevy Monte Carlo ($500k) and a Victory Cross Country 8-Ball motorcycle ($180k). All told, the charity lots raised over $8.7 million for local and national charities. North American Car, Truck and SUV of the Year finalists revealed
Thu, Nov 17 2022The finalists for the 2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards were announced Thursday at the L.A. Auto Show. — The Acura Integra, Genesis Electrified G80 and Nissan Z made the cut in the car category. — The Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado ZR2 and Lordstown Endurance advanced in trucks. — And the Cadillac Lyriq, Genesis GV60 and Kia EV6 advanced among utilities. The winners will be announced Jan. 11 in Detroit. The finalists underscored the industryÂ’s shift to electric vehicles, as all three utilities and two of the three trucks are EVs. The finalists were culled from a list of 26 semifinalists made up of three trucks, 10 cars and 16 utility vehicles that are new this year. Notables that missed the cut include the Mercedes EQE, Subaru WRX and Toyota GR Corolla in cars; while the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage and Rivian R1S were among the utes that did not advance. The three trucks are the only ones eligible this year and have advanced through the voting. 50 jurors who work for media outlets across North America vote three times over the course of the year to whittle down the field, which was originally 47 vehicles. Jurors also test the semifinalists at an October group event in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Honda Civic (car), Ford Maverick (truck) and Ford Bronco (utility vehicle) were the 2022 winners. Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing
Tue, Nov 1 2016Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. You can check it out here. Related Video:
