*****1975 Hotrod Chevy C10 With New Motor And Tranny $$$low Reserve$$$****** on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
This is a 1975 chevy truck turned in to a hotrod. It is in great shape just ready for a new home. The motor has a mild cam and flat top pistons. The heads are from D&P machine shop in garland TX. It has a wiend aluminum intake and a edelbrock carb on it. The motor was built by a couple of drag racers in Dallas for one of their daughters. It was in a 64 nova which she hated so they sold the car to a buddy of mine. We put the motor in the truck you see here. At the time when we put the new motor in the tranny was rebuilt as well so around 15k on them both. It fire right up and runs great I just rarly drive it and thats why i am selling it. The paint is in good shape but not show quality it does has some minor chips and the hood is fadded but i think that gives it a cool look. The only bad with the truck is that the spedomator does not work but all the other lights and guages work. The blinker control is loose but still works. It does not have a radio currently installed but would not be hard to put on in. All of the minor things didnt bother me enough to fix as i only drive it once every few months. I am getting married and buying a house in the next few months so i need cash more than i need this truck and that is the only reason i am selling it. I have set the reserve extreemly low so bid with confidence this truck will be going home with some one at the end of this auction. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I have listed a link to a youtube video of the truck running this week. |

Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson
Tue, Sep 25 2018Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
