1992 Chevy Blazer K with Silverado package, Black ext with gray int. 5.7L V8, 4x4, NO RUST. I purchased the blazer from a private seller that moved it here from North Carolina in not running condition. The blazer had a blown engine in it when it was towed to MI. I saw a pic of the blazer and it looked really nice so I went to look at it and didn't see any rust on the body or frame so I bought it. I put a used 5.7L v8 in it that has around 100,000 miles on it that I bought from a private seller who was a mechanic.I can't verify exact miles but the engine has always ran strong and doesn't make any unusual noises. The blazer has these extras on it chrome turf bars or steps under both sides, chrome tail light protectors, roof lights, hooks in the front, 3-4" body lift, 33" bf Goodrich tires, and a small brush guard. The thing that is so impressive is that the blazer is a 1992 and is still rust free, all floor pans are solid, door jams r rust free(rockers), frame is solid, and tail gate. Now for the bad...It needs a windshield, headliner is missing but looks okay without it, brake light stays on due to it being unhooked from the abs system(brakes work fine so I didn't look at it cuz I don't like abs anyway), has a dent on lower rear quarter just behind the tire pass. side, needs a wheel alignment that no one can do where I live(northern MI), and speedo is intermittent when u start out but usually comes alive after warming up so I used gps at first, will need a muffler soon it's jerry rigged from muffler back. I can't think of anything else wrong but if I do I will add it to the auction. The tires are just starting to weather and would prob. last another winter at least. The blazer looks good but isn't perfect my intensions were to restore it but never had the time to take it any further. You won't find a cleaner body on a blazer this old in Michigan I know because I have looked. The blazer is a head turner the way it is now so if someone stuck some money in it they would have a really solid clean blazer for many years to come. I never went mudding in it because it's all sand up here but I did do some puddle jumping and it's a riot! I have the blazer for sale locally so I do reserve the right to cancel auction. Any questions just ask. I have sold a few cars and trucks on ebay and have over 400 transactions at 100% feedback so rest assured I am not out to screw anyone this is a nice blazer.
On Oct-02-13 at 12:47:35 PDT, seller added the following information:
The engine didn't get a wash after the last ride thru puddles but I will power wash before you pick it up.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two
Sun, Jun 19 2016We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.
GM recalls Cadillac ATS and Chevy Impala for separate issues
Fri, Feb 27 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration added two recalls from General Motors in the government organization's daily update of safety campaigns. Both were for failing to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards but for completely separate reasons. The larger recall covers 58,698 units of the 2013-2015 Cadillac ATS, but it doesn't really carry huge safety concerns. In vehicles produced between April 25, 2012, and February 9, 2015, the controls for the tilt and slide of the moonroof are not recessed enough, as required by federal law. According to NHTSA, it's possible that someone could inadvertently activate the auto-close for the roof panel, which the agency claims increases "the risk of personal injury." Dealers will install a new trim plate that will add the necessary clearance. The other campaign covers 1,177 examples of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala from between November 15, 2012, and May 27, 2014. However, this is actually a repeat of a previous recall on the Chevy and the Cadillac XTS from 2014. The affected Impalas here "were remedied incorrectly" under the earlier campaign, according to NHTSA. On these sedans, it's possible the electronic parking brake might not fully disengage and still remain in some contact with the rotor, which is in violation of federal rules. The fault can cause excessive heat from the brakes that could potentially lead to a fire, according to NHTSA. To fix the problem, dealers will reprogram the electronic parking brake control module. In the affected vehicles, the power-operated roof panels auto-close when the non-recessed "Slide" or "Tilt" switches are pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No.
Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad
Fri, Feb 14 2014General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party.
