1970 Chevrolet Blazer Ca. Rustfree Body Air Lockers Project Chevy 1969 1971 1972 on 2040-cars
Palm Desert, California, United States
Relisted due to previous high bidder non payment . 1970 Chevy blazer with very nice rustfree So. Cal. desert body , 1 small rust bubble is all I could find on the whole body . Floor , rockers etc. that are usually gone on these are all super solid and nice ! It has aftermarket seats front and rear , metal console , nice rollbar , a funky soft top setup , no hard top , rhino lined inside . Has arb air locker setup front and rear with onboard compressor , I was told they are Dana's front and rear but I'm not certain . Nice 350 with headers and 4 barrel , auto trans , power steering . Brakes are up and working , e brake works . Rolls and steers easy . It has custom bumpers and skidplate It has been parked for a while and hasn't been started for about a year according to the previous owner , will need to be towed . I reinstalled the alternator and got it to crank but I think the starter is shot , that's about all I've had time to do . Lights and compressor turned on ok also . I have a 71 CST that I am restoring to stock and can give you the stock original bumpers and other stuff that I am replacing on it . It has a big winch that I will be removing that you can have as well if you like . The guy lost the title and only gave me a bill of sale and an application for duplicate title with it , IT DOES NOT HAVE A CLEAR TITLE WITH IT AS STATED ABOVE , I ENTERED THAT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO MAKE A SELECTION TO PROCEED WITH THE LISTING . I went to Dmv this morning and there is about $600 in back fees if you want to title and register it in Ca. so please keep this in mind when bidding . If it is going to another state , I believe you don't have to pay the Ca. back fees , double check with your dmv to be certain . Ask any and all questions before bidding , please come see it in person if possible before bidding as I want you to be happy with it and be sure what you are bidding on !!! BILL OF SALE AND APPLICATION FOR DUPLICATE TITLE ONLY FOR NOW AS STATED . I REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 3 DAYS , PERIOD , NO EXCEPTIONS , CASH IN PERSON , OR BANK WIRE TRANSFER ONLY . I can store it for a bit until you can get it picked up . Sold as is .
If you can use a nice solid body or lots of parts , here it is . I don't have to sell it , if it doesn't sell I will get it running , get the title , maybe paint it and either keep it or ask 2 or 3 times more than I am asking for it now , this is what I plan to do and will NOT be relisting it . Please don't ask the reserve , bid what you are willing to pay . It's probably less than the metal work would cost to fix a rusty one ! Hood , doors and tailgate all shut very nicely . I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if a deal is struck . Real nice project , guy said he spent about $20,000 on it years ago when he built it . Thanks
DON'T BID IF YOU CAN'T PAY ...

2016 Chevy Colorado Duramax gets 31 mpg highway
Mon, Nov 9 2015The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax and its similarly diesel-powered GMC Canyon sibling are the most fuel-efficient new trucks on the market in America. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined for two-wheel-drive Colorado and Canyon diesels. That's just good enough to take the pickup fuel-economy title from the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE, which carries EPA estimates of 29 mpg highway, 21 mpg city, and 24 mpg combined. Four-wheel-drive models offer slightly lower economy figures of 29/20/23, respectively. Drivers can cover quite some distance, too – the GM twins' 21-gallon tanks mean a maximum range of 651 miles.
Your browser does not support iframes.
Diesel's reputation may be somewhat tarnished in the US after Volkswagen's emissions scandal, but Chevy wants to assure potential customers that there are no tricks with the Colorado's figures. The pickup's engine features NOx-reducing tech like exhaust gas recirculation, and the EPA and California Air Resources Board recently chose the truck to take the additional step of real-world emissions tests. The 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque had no problems with the more stringent evaluation, and "the agency expressed no issues or concerns," according to the company's statement. The diesel Colorado goes on sale this fall, and the Duramax costs $3,730 over a similarly equipped V6 model. We've gone ahead and included dueling press releases from both Chevy and GMC below for your reading pleasure. The EPA-estimated highway fuel economy for 2016 Colorado four-wheel drive diesel is 29 mpg. The EPA has issued a Certificate of Conformity for the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax diesel. The agency expressed no issues or concerns following its recent extensive testing and evaluation of the emission control system on the Colorado Duramax diesel.
GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown
Wed, Jan 29 2014They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you.
