UNMOLESTED 1957 Chevrolet 4 door post Bel Air - Original - GREAT BARN FIND

This 1957 Chevrolet 4 door post Bel Air, is now up for sale. It has been in the Garage most of the time since 1973
a Daily driver prior to that. Has been undriven and stored for 40 years. I bought this car due to the fact of how solid it is.
This is a dry climate Bel Air and it shows. It is a total project and needs everything under the sun, but
you've got a great base to start.

It is originally a 283 V8 small block with three speed transmission on the column. (Three on the tree)
This is a Dallas Texas car originally sold at Vandergriff Chevrolet.

The Mechanic's:
It does come with the original 283 motor that I pulled from the car. Needs rebuilding. Does not run. Comes with the car.
I have three speed transmission that I got with the car. It was already removed.
The only damage to the car is before I got it, someone cut the floor for a floor shifter (in the tunnel)
and a small dent in right rear quarter, by the bumper, both are an easy repair, and a small scrape under the rear passenger
door on the rocker molding. ( see pictures )
I did replace all ball joints in the front end as well as all the "A" frame bushings. This is the only work I have done.
I believe to have all the car except the radiator, Dome lens, one hub cap, and a headlight. ( this is all I can remember not having )

The Body:
Originally a Black painted car with a white painted top all patina is original. Also original Red and black interior.
The carpet is gone. The original floors and trunk pan are intact throughout. Drivers Floor pan has worst corrosion.
(see Pictures with a bolt) Spare Tire sump in the trunk has rust ( see pictures ) the rust u see in the trunk corners
is not in the metal, just crumbs on top, easy vacuum clean.
The glass is also original and intact throughout. But Two windows are Cracked, Driver Passenger door, and Passenger Front door. Still
intact just cracked not shattered.
All of the glass rides on its window tracks. Roll up and down, Vent windows roll as well. The doors, hood and trunk line up straight.

The title for the car is a small green title last transferred March of 1966.
These pictures were taken a couple weeks back when I pulled it from the barn to get more light for the pictures to take well,
and to get good pictures under the car as well as of the car. I did put it back in the barn. where it has been.
Way to much to list, call if interested for more details.

Super Bowl LVII car commercial roundup: Watch them all here

Mon, Feb 13 2023

Fewer automakers than usual spent money advertising during Super Bowl LVII. In total, there were only five traditional ad spots from three big OEMs. A number of car-adjacent ads aired during the Big Game, too, and we’ll bring you those ads in this roundup alongside the more obvious ones. WeÂ’ve compiled all of the automotive-related commercials for you here in this post so you donÂ’t have to go searching for them elsewhere. Read on below to see what aired as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. Ram's Super Bowl spot offers a cure for 'Premature Electrification' This commercial revealed the new electric Ram Rev pickup, and itÂ’s themed like a prescription ad for an antidote to "Premature Electrification.” A concerned narrator in the Ram spot asks if you're afraid that going electric too soon will mean "you might not be able to last as long as you like," and there's a guy on a pier who's going to need some new equipment if he wants to catch fish. We're also told there are "options being designed to extend range in satisfying ways," so if this truck isn't right for you, you have choices. All the commercial's missing is a silly medical marketing name and six seconds of speed-reading gibberish about side effects like intestinal bleeding and death. Which are two more good things. Jeep 4xe Super Bowl commercial highlights modern version of 'Electric Boogie' JeepÂ’s “Electric Boogie” commercial follows the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe in a variety of simulated off-road situations. Though fun, the soundtrack is the real star of the show. The songÂ’s original artist, Marcia Griffiths, was joined by Grammy winner Shaggy, Jamila Falak, Amber Lee, and Moyann on the track. The modernized re-recording celebrates 40 years since GriffithsÂ’ original track, and Jeep says the track is available for streaming now. Kia returns to the Super Bowl with the tale of 'Binky Dad' This year, Kia follows the adventure of "Binky Dad" in his quest to fetch his daughter's lost pacifier, which naturally takes him over just about every bit of terrain you might encounter upon leaving the civilized confines of Southern California for the not-so-civilized mountains of ... probably also California. It features the refreshed 2023 Kia Telluride, which probably doesnÂ’t need much advertising to see these days, but Kia went for it with the strong three-row SUV anyway.

Next Chevy Volt will be 2016 model and ride on new chassis

Fri, Mar 7 2014

What do we know about the 2016 Chevy Volt? Well, for now, all we can do is try to put the puzzle together without the box. Thankfully, a new batch of pieces has arrived from a new report in Edmunds, which says that the 2016 model year will introduce the second generation of a car that hasn't been dramatically updated since it went on sale in 2010. The new Volt is getting an "evolutionary styling change" and will ride on a new front-drive platform that has been developed by General Motors. GM's Kevin Kelly told AutoblogGreen that he has "no comment on future products," but he did acknowledge that Chevrolet is working on a second-generation Volt, "but I can't say anything about timing." Everybody already knew that a next-gen Volt is coming, so that's not a surprise. What we don't know is any real concrete information on the car itself. The few tidbits of information we do have help define the outlines of the next version of Chevy's halo car, but they're not confirmed yet. For the record, they range from the eye-raising (a $10,000 price drop) to the logical (20 percent more electric range). We can't see the whole picture yet, but the pieces do point to the 2016 Volt, which would be released next year sometime, being a much bigger deal than the last update, when the Volt's range was increased by three electric miles thanks to a battery capacity increase of 16 kWh to 16.5.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
