1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Station Wagon Impala Biscayne on 2040-cars
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
Up for auction is a 1962 bel air station wagon. I was told by the previous owner that the motor is the original 283 small block. It is a pretty solid car other than the rust hole that in the trunk pan area. It does have dents an dings here and there. For more or better pictures contact me. I have put the car on a lift and looked at the under carriage and it has a layer of old undercoating that has saved the car from rusting. It has no carpet so it is obvious how solid this car is. There are some interior parts missing but for someone who wants to hunt down a few part it should be easy and fun. The rear tailgate window is not functioning at the moment, it needs to be worked on, it runs and drives, it does need it's touch ups on mechanical here and there. This car has the great patina look. I hope the pictures are helpful. Please look over the pictures before bidding. Happy bidding and thanks for looking. For more information or arrangements email me or call me at 801-301-0106. I will get back as soon as possible. This vehicle is as is no warranty. Winning bidder is responsible for all arrangements for shipping or pick up. willing to deliver for a fee to states near Utah.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
Chevy Crossvolt name kept alive in new trademark application
Fri, Dec 26 2014In April 2011 General Motors submitted a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for the word "Crossvolt." In November of this year, the application expired for lack of a statement of use. But in August of this year, GM applied again for the same trademark, leading some to believe that it intends to apply the name to a vehicle. That vehicle could explain the mule in sliced-and-diced Chevrolet Orlando bodywork caught in several spy shots this year, theorized to be some kind of Toyota Prius V or Ford C-Max Hybrid competitor; or it could be a production version of the Chevrolet Volt MP5 concept showed off at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010, which was about the same size as the Chevy Orlando. Or it could be none of those things – but the fact that Chevrolet is keeping it current makes us believe it will be... something.
